I am HUGE into family traditions....passing on important memories as well as special items down for future generations to remember and use.

I was so excited when the package arrived in the mail.  The popcorn popper was beautiful and unique.  We waited for the perfect night to try it out over out backyard firepit.  It was perfect!

The fire was extremely hot, but the Jacob Bromwell Popcorn Popper held up beautifully to the heat.  And the clean up was so easy (Dishwasher safe!)

My boys loved the popcorn and the whole experience of hearing and smelling it.  It was so easy to make.  3 Tablespoons of oil and 1/3 cup of popcorn and a nice fire.  But if you don't have a fire you can use your stove top. 

Now my only two problems are ..... Keeping enough popcorn kernels on hand...and...figuring out which of my son's this Excellent hand crafted popcorn popper is going to be passed down to in years to come.

Lord Nut Levington - Uniquely Flavored Peanuts, You Will NEVER Forget Review

I never thought there would be a day I would be reviewing a flavored peanut and using the words...complex...layered flavors....outrageously amazing flavor combinations.....

But here I am....about to use all of those word and more....

Now on to my review....

 Rebel Mary...Spicy Bloody Mary Peanuts...

Spicy Bloody Mary flavor with celery, lemon and pepper.  Now I can eat a Bloody Mary!  How inventive.  Even with all the seasoning on each and every last peanut in the can, these peanuts remain nice and crunchy.  I have no idea how Lord Nut Levington is able to combine so many flavors, but none of them get lost. 

Momma Mia ....Tomato, Garlic and Cheese.

These flavor packed nuts were my absolute favorite.  Any Italian food lovers dream.  The spices and cheese used to create this marriage of flavors left me begging for more.  I love the fact Lord Nut Levington doesn't skimp on seasoning, but in the same regard, doesn't over season.  That is a fine balance they have definitely mastered.

Thai Dyed....Thai Curry and Lemongrass

My husband swore up and down he will never eat another flavored peanut again without wishing it was a Lord Nut Levington Thai Dyed.  The flavor profile with these peanuts is amazing and worth spreading the news!  What a unique flavor combination.  They are a tiny bit spicy and kind of sweet...very complex, but perfect!

Cinnapplooza....Apples, Cinnamon and Vanilla.
To be honest, I was a little bit worried about trying these ones.  The flavor combination on peanuts didn't sound like a winner.  But, I went ahead a popped on in my mouth.  I began to smile.  The Cinnapplooza peanuts were not sweet, like I was anticipating.  They were savory and layered.  I couldn't get over the flavor experience.  I was able to taste each individual flavor all as separate times during my tasting.  I LOVED IT!  Lord Nut Levington...HOW DID YOU DO THIS???

El Cheddarales...Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeno

Another well balanced flavor combination.  They definitely had some heat mixed into this flavorful nut.  Cheddar Cheese and Jalapeno...do I need to say more.  Perfection.

Mehlenbacher's makes over 50 different flavors and are developing new ones all the time!  Amazing.  They even create seasonal flavors like Cranberry, Wintergreen, Brown Sugar, Pumpkin Spice, Eggnog, Caramel Apple and Maple.

They have gotten creative with their MIXER line with flavors combinations like Raspberry Lemonade, Limeade (lemon lime), Neapolitan (chocolate, strawberry and vanilla), and Berry Blast just to name a few.  I had the chance to try the Raspberry Lemonade and it was so refreshing, and chewy, and silky, and sticky, and flavorful, and stretchy, and shiny with each and every bite and trust me there is a LOT to bite on.....look at how BIG each stick is....

Each stick of Mehlenbacher's Taffy is HUGE - over 5 inches and 3/4 of an inch in diameter of chewy goodness. 

Another line of Taffy is Cheesecake.  Don't turn your nose up, until you try this hand made confection.  The Key Lime Cheesecake was the best.  It had the texture and feel of taffy...but it you were to close your eyes, and focus on the flavor, you would think you had a piece of Key Lime Cheesecake in your mouth.  Mehlenbacher's you have done us candy lovers a great service....I will never be able to enjoy another piece of taffy every again, without wishing it was yours.

Gail Ambrosius Chocolatier Fine Chocolates Made by Hand Review and Giveaway Caramels and Truffles

In 2003, when Gail Ambrosius learned that it was likely she was going to be laid off from her job as a cartographer with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, she decided to take the leap of her life. She was 43 years old, a single mom, and she had a dream that had been steeping in her soul for decades. Gail Ambrosius Chocolatier was so gracious to send me out two of her wonderfully exquisite and unique chocolate creations to review and giveaway to one of my lucky bloggy friends.

Oh Heavens, where do I begin..... 

Sorry, my mind and taste buds were wandering, longing for another chocolate experience, like nothing else I have ever had before. 

Gail Ambrosius "Smooth, oh-so-sweet caramel wrapped in silky dark chocolate and sprinkled with a touch of fleur de sel marries the very best of sweet and salty. It's melt-in-your-mouth, swoon-worthy chocolate heaven. Oh, caramel joy!"

I am a huge fan of salty and sweet.  Gail has done an amazing job and combining these two elements, plus differing textures into a mouth water flavor explosion!  The love and now crave the creamy rich dark chocolate and soft buttery caramel delicacy...with the over the top salty crunch of the fleur de sel.  The only bad part is I am writing this, drooling, and my box of 5 are already gone. 

I wish there was some way I could find to create "taste-o-vision" with Gail's Truffles...that way I could share with the world how unique, daring, palette pleasing and over all worldly experience.

I am so honored the Gail hand selected the 12 piece Chocolatier's Choice Truffle Box just for me (and one of my lucky followers) to experience and enjoy.

This is an actual photo of my hand selected box.  Aren't they gorgeous!  Each one very different and a work of art.  I am going to decide a few of the truffles I received.

**Don't be afraid of these special creative combinations!  They are all amazing and like no other chocolate I have ever had.  The flavors and textures so how combine to udder perfection with the skills of Gail.**

Rose

"Rishi’s delicate Wild Rose Tea, infused in sweet cream, romances the mild smoothness of Venezuela’s Carenero Superior chocolate. Tasting this light and delicate play on the taste buds is like breathing in a heady bouquet of roses. It’s a mindful muddling of the senses, best savored in blissful quietude."  The truffle was absolutely beautiful with the small dried rose petal on top!  The flavors are beautifully mild and work so well together to melt in your mouth...a small bite of perfection!

Lemongrass with Ginger

"Inspired by Asian cuisine, this fragrant fusion—featuring mild, buttery 70% Venezuelan chocolate—tastes of lemon groves and the steamy tropical sun. Gail infuses dried organic lemongrass into coconut puree with a few generous scoops of sharp ginger pulp. Topped with candied lemon peel and dried safflower, this meeting of East and West has rapidly become a favorite."  This was so complex and enjoyable.  I loved the contrast of textures from the smooth, silky, creamy center to the bright chewy ginger topping this artful truffle.

Cinnamon/Cayenne

"This ancient recipe began the enduring love affair with chocolate—earthy cacao blended with the sweetness of cinnamon and the fire of roasted chilies. Gail uses toasty, nutty 65% Colombian chocolate and a suggestion of cinnamon to lure your taste buds into happy complacency before the heady rush of heat on the finish. It will leave you glowing."  The balance of this sweet heat was perfection at its finest.  As the truffle melts in your warm mouth the flavors combine to tease your palette.  It is spicy?  It is sweet?  Yes and Yes, you won't be disappointed!

Espresso

"The strong, deep flavors of Ecuadorian Arriba chocolate demand an equally strong flavor companion. Gail uses Just Coffee espresso, made from organic, fair-trade beans here in Madison. Arriba’s hint of floral rides lightly atop the earthy espresso and chocolate to fully awaken your taste buds."  This truffle doesn't take much explaining...Chocolate and Coffee always a beautiful marriage!
