MAG America - Donate to help give a child a Safe Walk Home.

I am passionate about children and children safety and health issues.  When I recently found out about MAG American I felt the need to share about it's mission.  And along with its mission its need for affordable donations from people like you and I.  Donations that will help give a Child a Safe Walk Home!

A donation of just $26 will fund a deminer for an entire day.  A day to work clearing landmines and unexploded bombs in Laos, Vietnam, Iraq, Cambodia and many other locations.

I better explain more about MAG America to help you understand their important mission.  

MAG which stands for Mines Advisory Group was established in 1989.  They have worked in over 35 countries to remove remnants of war like landmines and unexploded bombs.

By removing these devices 1000's of lives each year are saved.  MAG was even awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997!  

Did you know when MAG clears these items people are able to use that land to farm and even build roads for commerce and at times schools.  

Sadly...children are often the victims of unexploded bombs as children and curious.  They find these items in areas under shrubs in their own backyards.  It pains me knowing that 30% to 40% of the victims of these unexploded bombs are children.

To put this organization in perspective and what they have been able to accomplish from July 2012 to May of 2013. 

MAG cleared and destroyed more than 300,000 landmines and items of unexploded ordnance.
As a result, more than 700,000 people were able to farm, build homes and schools and travel without fear of injury.
