The Hilarious Clorox Ick-tionary Online

Clorox Ick-tionary

 

 

I must admit I am smiling as I work on this hilarious blog post.  A few months ago I was contacted and asked to work with SocialMoms and Clorox to come up with two words for a funny online dictionary.  Funny words that describe my own "momism" moments.  You know (especially if you are a parent) those unforgettable moments that seem to happen on a daily basis and deserve there own new word to help describe and capture this moment.

I was honored first of all to be part of this fun Clorox Ick-tionary.  Clorox so understands parents!  They have now officially brought together the NEW language of mess...including how to conquer and laugh about this parent moments.  And they are also encouraging other parents to share their own unique and funny words online with the Clorox Ick-tionary (I would also love to hear the words you created right here in the comment section of my post).  You can also play fun games and WIN Coupons thanks to the Ick-tionary.

So after a lot of laughing out loud and inside I came up with the following two new words and definitions to help describe two of my memorable mom moments which will be featured in the Clorox Ick-tionary.

Mudastrophe: When your kids come in after playing outside, then decide to sit on your new chairs.

Yes, as a mother of 3 little boys I have had MANY Mudastrophe moment in my life.  It seems like my boys are able even on the sunniest day, during the middle of a drought...so where and so how find mud.  Not just any mud...you know the mud that is combined with grass and even a little red clay to track into my house...and through the house....and on to every piece of furniture that is next to impossible to clean.

And of course it seems like I am constantly cooking and doing dishes to keep my "herd" full.  And I use the word "herd" very lovingly.  I love to cook for my family.  And the best part is when they enjoy my home cooked meals which end in fingerlicking event.  As you can't waste the last taste of a favorite meal.  I think my favorite meal to watch my boys enjoy and cause the fingerlicking response is Ribs.  It is too bad their tongues aren't longer to reach all over their messy faces.
