Now the spring has sprung, officially I want to share the new mission of LYSOL. 

The LYSOL Healthing Initiative.  This entire mission is focused on keeping families as healthy as possible.  I know personally from being a busy mom of three young boys, I would love to learn more to keep my family healthy.  I believe we can all continue to learn new ways to adopt a healthier overall lifestyle.

I know I was curious to find out what extra steps I could take to introduce my family into Healthing.  I visited LYSOL's Healthing Initiative webpage first.  It was very easy and fun to navigate around.  And being a social media junkie and also found Lysol on Facebook too.  You can also visit these very useful sites to learn more about Healthing.

I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to review another book in the series of Hugo The Happy Starfish.  As a few months ago I had the chance to review Hugo The Happy Starfish - The Secret To Happiness and it was amazing.

As the inside of the book jacket states...."Happiness Begins With Respect".  What a truthful statement that I only wish the world could understand.  Hopefully with the help of Hugo and his "The Last Bully" adventure we can educated our children, how negative bullying is and what a little respect and a positive attitude can do to make the world a better place.

In this vivid ocean experience, the illustrations bring to life the valuable lesson about respect and what to do if you are being bullied.

This Hugo The Happy Starfish book incorporates important character education and helps teach a small amount of the Spanish language.  The Spanish words used during the story are also included in the back of the book in the vocabulary section.  The HUGO series supports the IB Leaner Profiles and Attitudes of the International Baccalaureate Program (PYP books).

I truly enjoyed sharing this important book and message with my 3 boys.  To give you a little insight into the story line...here is what the book jacket cover shared....

"Hugo is a little starfish and so it’s not surprising that in this story he comes across several bigger fish in the ocean. Sadly, they are bigger fish with the wrong attitudes – they are bullies! After seeing his friend getting bullied, Hugo decides enough is enough. He forms the Anti-Bully Club and teaches the bullies a valuable lesson about respect.

By working together as a group, Hugo and his friends manage to show the bullies that there is always a bigger fish in the sea and that happiness comes from respecting others not bullying them."

Each of my boys ages 4, 7 and 9 all appeared to understand the message in the children's book book about bullying. As a parent I feel it is important to teach respect and in turn help our children learn respect so when the are put into a situation where they are being bullied or witness someone else being bullied they will get help.

I am so passionate about this message that I am planning on having my school aged boys bring this book to school to share.  As I feel it helps address bullying in schools.

Look at the amazing product line I received to review from Body Works!!!  They sent me their entire line of functional beverage shots.  Including Energy, Sport, Sleep, Relax and Perform Under Pressure.  How is that for an amazing shot collection!  I am certain at least one of these shots  have peaked your interest.

I was thankful to see Body Works has a staff of nutritionists, doctors and fitness experts that help put together the perfect formulas for each and every shot.  All the shots contain natural herbs, vitamins and amino acids.  But I need to make sure and let you know the two important things Body Works shots do not have....No Calories...That is right 0 Calories and No Sugar! *Make sure to shake each shot well before enjoying* and *make sure to not exceed two shots within an 8 hour period*

I must admit my favorite shot, being the fitness guru that I am, was the Sport Shot.

Lucky and Radar make a difference in our Dog Loving family

Ever since childhood I have always had at least one dog by my side (other than when I was in college).  I can’t image life without my furry friends.  They have made and continue to make such a huge difference in my family and my personal life. 

I am honored that I am able to allow my own children the enjoyment of having two wonderful dogs in our home.  I hate to even call them dogs.  They are named Lucky and Radar and are part of our family. 

Our furry family members help to teach my family about responsibility and unconditional love.  Every morning it is my boys’ responsibility to get up and feed and give Lucky and Radar their vitamins.  Then they let them out for their morning potty break. 

As soon as they walk in the door, Lucky and Radar are there to greet them and find out how their day was.  If it was challenging, somehow our two faithful friends sense that and want to stay close to make the hurt go away. 

Lucky and Radar are also perfect play mates and teach our boys how to play nicely and get much needed exercise.  I love the giggles and screams of excitement that come from our very active backyard when everyone is outside playing on the soon to be nice spring days.  It makes me remember my childhood and the importance of thinking beyond our needs.

And I almost forgot Lucky and Radar help our entire family to keep things I prospective.  When things seem like they are at their worst.  They are always the first two to give you a “shifty eyed” look and a big wet kiss…I have never met a person who that doesn’t make smile. 

The day our family is without a four legged friend, will be a terribly sad day.  That is why I have two so hopefully we will always have a companion at our side.  After losing our amazing family member Lady years ago, we were fortunate enough to have rescued Lucky from a poor home only months before.  So when Lady unexpectedly passed we were able to enjoy the comfort from Lucky and help to comfort him along our grief journey.  But, I believe that is how it should be….Dogs are meant to steal your heart and become an actual family member.  Everyone should own a dog.  I would love to hear your dog stories.

We were able to see and feel the quality of construction with this stunning men's tie.  All the seams were stitched flawlessly.  I couldn't believe is wasn't silk, as it looks and feels just like it.  PUCCINI ties are crafted from a unique microfiber fabric that look and feels the same as silk, but is more wrinkle and stain resistant.  How perfect, especially since our boys love to touch, "Daddy's new tie".

I am back and let me tell you about my experiences.

 

The NAAT Brazilian Keratin Deep Moisturizing Shampoo was very thin, so be careful when using the convenient press top opening.  It lathered nicely and rinsed easily.  The smell was not my favorite, but I can get over that as this is a gentle cleansing formula that is Free from sodium chloride.  I am not a big fragrance type of person, but I think a touch of something fresh would help this shampoo immensely. 

 

I chose to use the Intensive Hair Mask, which is the HUGE tub in the above photo.  It is so thick and creamy.  It has a pleasant light floral aroma.  It was like I could feel my hair thanking me.  There is no doubt in my mind that this Hair Mask will help restore my hair's thickness and shine.  It is recommend this product be used every one to two weeks and left in your hair for ten to twenty minutes.

 

For the days I need to use other conditioner, NAAT Brazilian Keratin Deep Conditioner is the perfect choice.  This conditioner is easily applied with the press top opening.    It is also nice, thick and creamy and goes on smooth.  I really didn't notice any scent.  It was simple to leave on for the recommended two minutes and rinsed out easily, leaving my hair silky smooth.

 

For the added protection and to get rid of all the frizz; the NAAT Brazilian Keratin Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor is the answer.  It is quick and easy to apply with the press top opening; just be cautious as this Reconstructor is very liquidy and comes out fast.  It has the same fragrance issues as the shampoo.  Just apply from roots to the tip of your hair and leave it in.  With my personal experience it does help keep the fly away hairs in check, but it did weight my fine hair down. 

 

And last but not least the small bottle of NAAT Brazilian Keratin Serum Ultra Shine.

 

There is a reason for this quaint size...a little goes a long ways!  I want to say the fragrance of this serum was the best from the whole line of products.  It was nice and fruity and left my hair smelling wonderful.  This product is perfect to use in order to protect your hair from daily damage.  It can be applied as often as needed.

Well, I can tell you from personal experience after receiving my sample of Hot Pants 2.0 Shorts to review...There is a reason they call them "Hot Pants".  Oh my God do they make you sweat and sweat and sweat.  I will admit I am addicted to working out.  And I push myself to the limit almost everyday...so the first time I wore my Zaggora Hot Pants, I actually had sweat running down my calves.  It was so nasty, but in the same breath it felt so good.  I knew I had to be burning those extra calories.

I was surprised what my Hot Pants felt like.  The only way I can describe them is they remind me of a scuba suit.  And trust me when you open your package from Zaggora with your Hotwear inside, be prepared for a terrible rubber smell.  It is the worst, but after a few washes it goes away. 

Speaking of washing Zaggora Hotwear.  When I first received my Hot Pants is was suggested that you hand wash them in cold water and let them dry.  I did this faithful, as trust me after a workout..they needed a shower!  But, it was a pain the hinny.  Now I just learned on Zaggora's Facebook page you can wash Zaggora Hotwear in your washing machine on cold!  You can find Zaggora on Twitter and Pinterest too.  I am so excited and can't wait to try that out.  

When I selected my size of Zaggora Hot Pants, I had to double check the sizing.  And please make sure you do the same.  I typically wear a size Medium.  But in Zaggora I wear a small.  And I actually think I could have gotten away with a XSmall as the bottom of the shorts sometimes bag away slightly from my thighs.  Don't be shocked by the price of Zaggora.  They are a little pricey, but well worth it.  Like the pair of Hot Pant 2.0 shorts...cost $72.

I like the feeling of wearing my Hot Pants.  I feel like it gives me extra support.  They do ride up high on my torso, but that is fine with me.  It makes me sweat even more.  And as you can see by the beginning of my post...they melt away the inches too.

I can't wait to try out the Hoodie Body Blazer.  It looks cute and so functional.

A few months ago I found Sinai Gourmet on Facebook. (They are on Twitter too.) I was intrigued by their product description.

 

As they shared via Facebook, how their products are locally made in Canada and contain NO artificial preservatives or ingredients.  But...the kicker was that Sinai Gourmet Hot Sauces are not pickled, vinegary or fermented.  Okay after reading that I wondered how it would compare to the hot sauces my husband and I are use to enjoying.

 

Well when our sample arrived a few weeks ago...all my intrigue and questions were answered...like a ray of sunshine coming through the clouds...

 

Finally a hot sauce that allows the natural heat and beauty of all the freshest ingredients to shine through.  A hot sauce that embraces Mother Nature's master plan, that allows us to use ingredients grown naturally to enhance our recipes and lives.

 

My husband, couldn't wait to dive right into this jar of Sinai Gourmet Habanero Original Hot Sauce.  I fell in love with the bright beautiful natural colors of the ingredients like the fresh pepper winning combination of Habanero, Jalapeno and Chillies.  And to enhance these spicy peppers...fresh herbs, spices, virgin olive oil and garlic.

 

The texture of Sinai Gourmet Habanero hot sauce pleased our tongues.  It has a wonderful mouth feel.  It is not chunky by any means, but it is definitely not smooth.  As in the story of the 3 Little Bears..."It is just right!".

 

The Habanero hot sauce is not for the faint of heart.  It has a powerful kick with a follow up punch. (Eye watering...but "Oh, so GOOD!")  But, don't let that scare you.  You can tame down this beast by incorporating it into food, instead of enjoying it straight from the jar (make sure to DON'T double dip..as since no preservatives are used this natural hot sauce is vulnerable to contamination).

 

Remember to keep your Sinai Gourmet Hot Sauces in the fridge...as they are all natural.  And once you open the jar it should be enjoyed within 3 months...But, I know at our house that deadline was easily met.
