Bigfat's Hot Sauce Review and Giveaway - 5 Winners - Total Value of Prizes $48.48

I have been so lucky to have the opportunity to try hot sauce products from an excellent small company specializing in amazing all natural hot sauces made from quality ingredients and a whole lotta love. Bigfat's company is based just outside of Chicago in Niles, Illinois. All the sauces are made in small batches with diverse flavors, tastes and peppers from around the world.


And five of Fishful Thinking's Followers will also get the HOT opportunity to sample....

Bigfat's mission is to make the best tasting all natural hot sauces with the freshest ingredients available to bring out the inner chilehead in all of us. The currently are offered four Lively sauces.  Bigfat's website is helpful by listing "goes great with" and recipes for each of their sauces.

Bigfat's provided four bottles of their life altering hot sauces for me to sample and try out in some new spicy flavorful recipes...which a few are listed below.  I love having the opportunity to share my love of smaller companies and to make a positive impact in the food lovers life. Bigfat's hot sauces are so unique thanks to the flavor combinations they have carefully selected....they are like no other hot sauces I have ever tried.  I can't image not having a bottle or two or more of these sauces on hand all the time.

1o8 habanero hot sauce - A delicious and versatile habanero sauce with tomatoes, garlic, onions and the deliciously fiery kick of habaneros to help wake up tired taste buds. It's the mildest one we have but it still let's you know it means business. Go ahead, fire it up!



Delicious over an omelet.  What a great way to wake your taste buds up!


2o8 bajan style hot sauce - A caribbean style mustard based pepper sauce with heat and tang to liven things up inspired by the beautiful island of Bardabos.

This recipe I created for Firey Bigfat's Guacamole is so simple to make and enjoy any time.  All you need is two avocados, 1 fresh lemon (1/2 to juice and 1/2 for garnish), and 1 teaspoon of Bigfat's 208 sauce. Mix all of the ingredients together with a fork and enjoy with your favorite chip.

3o8 garlic ginger - A lovely aromatic concoction bursting with garlic and ginger and a little Thai feel to it. Heat from fresh habaneros tangles up with onion, carrots and lemongrass to bring it on home.

I created a new Spicy Bean Salad with the inspiration for Bigfat's 308 sauce.  The recipe is simple to mix in one bowl for easy clean up.

Ingredients:

1 (14.5 ounce) can black beans - drained and rinsed


1 (14.5 ounce) can dark red kidney beans - drained and rinsed

1 (14.5 ounce) can pinto beans - drained and rinsed

1 (14.5 ounce) can corn, drained

2 teaspoons Bigfat's 308 sauce

1 teaspoon cumin

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 Tablespoon dried cilantro

1 teaspoon dried parsley


1 teaspoon lime or lemon juice

1 (8 ounce) jar chunky salsa

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together.  Chill and Enjoy.

8o8 naga jolokia hot sauce - This sauce is a delicious blend of fresh ingredients, Naga Jolokia pepper powder (the hottest pepper in the world) and authentic Indian spices. Bigfat's 8o8 has such a rich, fiery flavor you can't help but go back for more. It's enough to make or break your day. Beware. You've been warned.
