How do you get your "Grill On" this summer?? If any of you are like me during the summer months...I try to be creative constantly and find fun and unique ways to use our grill. We enjoy making our own sauces, rubs and marinades.
But often we don't have the right ingredients on hand or we just want a quick and easy sauce, rub or marinade to use. Stubb's fits our needs every time. We found Stubb's years ago at our local grocery store, and have been HUGE fans ever since.
I like to think we are a Stubb's connoisseur. We have tried almost ever one of their products. Even the ones we haven't been able to buy local, I have order directly through Stubb's.
Stubb's was kind enough to send me out three of their signature sauces to review and are going to give one of my lucky bloggy friends an awesome prize pack.
Stubb's sent me a bottle of their lip smacking Original Bar-B-Q sauce. The Original sauce is tomato based goodness that is thick and perfect every time. You can see the spices throughout the sauce, which are balanced and not too spicy.
We love to enjoy Stubb's Original Sauce on almost anything, including hamburgers, pork burgers, ribs, pulled pork, and french fries. I also love mixing Stubb's Original Sauce with one of the other Stubb's sauces to make our own blend of perfection.
Hickory Bourbon....okay with a name like that are you drooling yet??? This is one of my favorite Stubb's sauces. It fantastic...I love to take a sip of it while I am grilling. "This sauce combines the natural barbeque flavor of hickory smoke with the rich, mellow taste of Kentucky bourbon". It is in perfect harmony. Not too sweet, but not spicy. This is also tomato based, but has a beautiful dark color, not like the bright red of the Spicy, which I will get to in a second. Only your creativity will hinder in what kind of uses you can find for this mouth watering Stubb's sauce.
Yes, I had mentioned a line or two before about the Spicy Stubb's Sauce. The bright red, fresh color of this sauce definitely gives the consumer a hint of what is in store with this "Get your attention" fiery sauce. "This original recipe is seasoned with habaƱero peppers and wood smoke to complement the flavor of the meat."
Stubb's Spicy is not just "HOT", it is heat with flavor. You can actually taste the different flavor notes, but you will definitely feel the after burn.
One of our family favorite recipes that incorporates two of Stubb's sauces is Slow Cooked B-B-Q pork ribs on the grill. This recipe is so easy with even an easier clean up.
Pick up your favorite ribs and put them on some foil.
I add an combo of Stubb's Original Sauce and Stubb's Hickory Bourbon Sauce, on top of the ribs and on the foil itself.
Isn't this beautiful!!
Wrap them all up so the moisture stays in...
Let the sit in the fridge over night letting them soak up the Stubb's goodness.
Place the foil wrapped ribs on the grill, keeping the grill at 225 degrees for at least 4 hours. The longer the better. Uncover the ribs and place them directly on the racks for approximately 1/2 hour, to help the Stubb's sauce caramelize into a deliciously sticky mess.
I then love using some of the extra Stubb's sauce to dip my ribs in. YUMMY!
Now on to the giveaway details.....
