I think we ALL know someone currently or in the past that has or is going through a difficult situation or something very special like the birth of a baby or "your" baby going off to college.
Did you know there is a Wonderful and Caring company out there to help you send a special home cooked meal to your loved ones who are going through this crazy thing called life?
Well there is and this fantastic company is called:
I was fortunate Spoonful of Comfort sent me an unimaginable gift box full of their Homemade goodness to try out and share with one lucky Bloggy Friend. I wish someone I knew would have known about Spoonful of Comfort when I was battling Cervical Cancer. It would have been the most comforting and unexpected gift...like a personal HUG in the mail.
I was so excited when the box arrived. And had no idea what to expect. Spoonful of Comfort took the extra steps to make sure this home cooked meal would arrive in perfect condition.
I have to admit when I opened the box, I felt so special. It really made me feel like this box was put together with a touch of Love just for me.
Look at how beautifully the homemade goodness was packed. I smile looking at the photos. It is obvious Spoonful of Comfort takes pride in what they do.
Look at how well everything was packed to make sure it arrived in fresh condition. The Chicken Soup was wrapped in a thermal cool wrap...and inside that were three ice bags still frozen along with the soup.
When I finally unwrapped everything, I was greeted with matching yellow ribbon with white polka dots on the soup, cookies and rolls.
But the best was yet to come. I have a confession to make....We actually ate ALL the cookies first!
I was amazed at how big and soft they were. The raisins were nice, soft and sweet which went perfect with the hint of spices to round out the cookie. They REALLY did taste homemade.
As you can see...my middle son enjoyed each and every bite.
The Chicken Soup was so simple and comforting. Believe it or not...Spoonful of Comfort doesn't use any preservatives! How is that for fresh from the kettle. So you do need to heat and enjoy this soup within 2 to 3 days. Trust me that will not be a problem as soon as you see all the ingredients in this delicious soup.
The noodles were a nice, thick, hearty addition that this soup needed to put it over the top. My boys loved all the carrots in the Chicken Soup. I can't forget to mention how BIG the pieces of chicken meat were (As you can see by my picture). If this soup doesn't fill you up, I would be shocked.
The Handmade rolls were a perfect accompaniment to the comforting Chicken Soup.
I warmed our rolls up just for a few seconds in the microwave. You would swear by the taste and texture I had been working on these all day.
The concept for Spoonful of Comfort came about in 2007 when founder learned her Mother had Lung Cancer. Do to distance and other circumstances she was never able to share her "personal" Chicken Soup with her mother, before she passed away. In her mother's honor, it became a goal to help others with sick loved ones. She promised to make and deliver a Spoonful of Comfort to your loved ones with as much care as if she were sending it to her own mother. They'll feel better and so will you. Whether you have an ailing mother, a child away at college with the flu, or a grandchild with an ear infection, Spoonful of Comfort can help you show that you care.
There are so many different combinations available that you can have shipped directly to your loved ones. "Thinking of you", "Get Well", "Sympathy", "College Care Packages", "New Baby" and even Corporate Gifts.
Thank you Spoonful of Comfort for making a different in our loved ones lives. You make the world a better place.

I learned from the Legend page "Chicken soup has also been found to contain an amino acid that is similar to a drug used to treat some respiratory infections." I believe this to be true, because it always seems to release "stuff" when I have a cold.
