Years ago when I was traveling across the diverse United States of America, I had the privilege to stopping by a wonderful bakery on the north side of the Chicago land area. In the Albany Plaza Shopping Center on Kedzie and Lawrence to be exact.
Jaafer Sweets
I enjoyed the most mind blowing Baklava. It was a work of art and a aphrodisiac to my taste buds. It was a delicate treat I have never been able to forget.I have tried to re-create Jaafer Sweets Baklava without success (Don't get me wrong mine is really good, but it's not Jaafer Sweets). I can't image the labor of love they go through daily to create these fine Middle Eastern pastries.
Jaafer Sweets have a deep love for their craft. When they create their pastries they bring to life an art that is more than a thousand of years old far from the Middle East to the consumer.
You can tell by the flavor and textures that only the finest and freshest ingredients are used to create these perfect sweet goods.
Everything is baked fresh from scratch for your pleasure. And they are one of the first to introduce variety of sugar free sweets in the Middle Eastern category.
Jaafer sweets are perfect for all occasions. Even if you don't live in the Chicago land area..you can still have your Jaafer Sweets...thanks to online ordering.
Jaafer Sweets was kind and provided a small assorted gift tray for only the cost of shipping so I could get my Baklava fix. And every last bite was perfection.
Now here is your chance to win.....
The winner will receive a medium assorted gift tray of Baklava from Jaafer Sweets! $27 Value.
