Tropical Traditions is such an amazing and diverse company.  I love the amount of quality products they carry.  Products that are worth every penny you spend.

Let me share a little bit about what Organic Coconut Peanut Butter is:

It is organic peanuts and organic coconut. That simple and nothing else!! No fillers, no binders, no sweeteners, and no preservatives. The peanuts are 100% organic Valencia peanuts grown organically by family farmers in New Mexico and Texas. One thing, or I guess actually two things...where this is simply two ingredients your climate can affect how it looks.  If it is very warm, it will separate.  Just stir in back together and enjoy the creamy and flavorful Coconut Peanut Butter.  If it is cold (which it is here)...There will be a hard layer of white on the top.  Just bring your jar to room temp and stir to incorporate. 

I really enjoyed the combination of Coconut and Peanuts...And I am looking forward to trying it in my Peanut Butter Coconut Cookie Recipe.  It is a family favorite and I am certain this is going to only add to the flavor.  Yumm.  Tropical Traditions Organic Peanut Butter is so smooth and creamy.

Brown Family Farm New England Maple Syrup Review

Fresh.....Authentic......Pure

What am I describing?

Brown Family Farm Native New England Maple Syrup.

I don't know about you? But we are BIG fans of Breakfast for Breakfast and Breakfast for Supper around our house.

There were no doubts when my two small (and might I add very cute) bottles of Pure Brown Family Farm Maple Syrup arrived what we were going to be having for supper. (Bottles were provided so I could sample and review)  I smile because I really don't need an excuse to prepare breakfast anytime of the day or night.

The bottles held a nice clean and clear brown colored Maple syrup.  By looking at the 1.35oz Bear Gallone Glass Bottles labels it appears this is Grade B.  Grade B is made late in the season when the sugar content in the sap is at its lowest and extra boiling gives this the strongest maple flavor of all.

"Grade B is the heartiest maple grade and a perfect "secret ingredient" for adding savory sweetness to your favorite gourmet recipes and baking."  That being quoted from an insert from Brown Family Farm...I found this Grade B to be nice and light and mellow.  We loved it on pancakes.  The natural sweetness and maple goodness really made our pancakes special.

These little glass bottles would make perfect stocking stuffers.  I am planning on displaying my empty bottle in my kitchen.

There is no doubt in my mind and the minds of many others...

Brown Family Farm knows how to treat there Maple right.

Weight Watchers Smart Ones Satisfying Selections.

I am not one that is big into watching what I eat all the time.  Many times it is because it is not convenient or the portions that are available never seem large enough to actually fill me up.

Thank goodness I have been giving an amazing opportunity to review Weight Watchers Smart Ones Satisfying Selections as a member of SocialMoms.  They sent me out two free coupons so I could pick two packages up  in the freezer section of the grocery store and try them out. 

A little bit about Weight Watchers Smart Ones Satisfying Selections.

This new line offered has the same great taste and convenience that Weight Watchers is famous for with their Smart Ones line, but now with 30% larger portions and heartier pieces of meat and veggies.  Perfect for satisfying your dinnertime appetite.

All Satisfying Selection meals are less than 400 calories and have 8 to 10 Weight Watchers PointsPlus and 25 grams or more of protein.

Here is my honest opinion.

If someone were to serve Weight Watchers Smart Ones Satisfying Selections to me...I would have No idea that I was eating a healthy food choice. 

I was delighted when I fixed Weight Watchers Smart Ones Satisfying Selections Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry.  First of all it was so easy and simple to prepare.  You can either steam them in your microwave (which is what I did) or cook it on your stove top.  I was thrilled to see the amount of food in each bag...all for one person.  This meal only had 340 calories. 

The Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry was delicious.  I loved the size of the chicken pieces.  I actually felt like I was eating at a fabulous Oriental restaurant in the convenience of my home.  This is a definite do again.  And I can afford to eat it again with the suggested retail price at $3.69.

The second flavor I tried out was and Italian favorite Ziti with Meatballs & Cheese.  Talk about a comfort meal as the weather cools down!  I could actually see and taste the meatballs.  They were perfect and seasoned well.  The ziti was not mushy and held up well to the simple preparation.  The only thing is was missing was garlic bread...but I know that doesn't fit in with the points :)

David Rio sent me their amazing line of Endangered Species Chai to enjoy and review.

David Rio Chai is Kosher Certified and Gluten Free.  It contained No Hydrogenated Oil or Trans Fat. I has a 2 year shelf life (I don't ever see that being an issue!)

I am such a lucky girl!!!

First off...did you know you can enjoy David Rio Chai Hot, Blended or as a Chai on Ice?

Yes you can...it is so simple.  If you want Hot Chai just mix the David Rio Chai powder with hot water or milk and enjoy. 

The way I love to make Chai is scald a few ounces of milk

....add the David Rio Chai mix

 stir and top off with Hot Water.

It is hard to decide but I think my favorite flavor I sampled was the David Rio Tiger Spice Chai.  It is just a perfect blend of spices including cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and ginger to combine into a cup of what Chai is suppose to be.  Very comforting and smooth.

The Elephant Vanilla was the first Chai recipe for David Rio and remains very popular.  They use natural vanilla which is know for its clean flavor.  I enjoyed the Vanilla accents with all the complex spices.  Very nice combination.  I see why this has continued to be popular.

Tortoise Green Tea.  I have no idea how David Rio was able to create this unique chai.  You can really taste the green tea flavor, even with the cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla in the mix.  Excellent! Excellent!

SUGAR FREE Orca Spice Chai. Splenda is used to create this Sugar Free version of Tiger Spice Chai.  It works great.  You will never miss the sugar!

Flamingo Vanilla Decaf Sugar-Free Chai.  I loved seeing a Decaf version offered.  As there are many out there who choose to not consume caffeine, but can't enjoy some tradition beverages.  Splenda is also used as the sugar substitute.  This is the equivalent to Elephant Vanilla, but with out the Caffeine and Sugar. 

I have saved the most unique for last Toucan Mango.   A "creamy tropical mixture of mango, black tea and premium spices, like cinnamon and cardamom. Especially delicious and refreshing as an ice blended smoothie or iced chai".  Don't turn up your nose...this is really good.  It is sweet and spicy and well balanced.

I was  honored  David Rio sent along a sample of their newest flavor Power Chai.  It is Dairy Free and truly Vegan!   Black tea and Japanese matcha are combined into a chai not for the faint of heart. It is rich and bold. "Enlivened with the traditional flavors of real chai spices including ginger, clove, cinnamon, star anise and cardamom. Powered with antioxidants from the matcha teas, it is delicately blended into a convenient mix".   I added a little more hot water to mine to mellow it.  It was very good.

I love finding healthier alternatives to snack on...especially for my boys. 

I was pleased to find out how diverse the six flavors Turbana Plantain Chips offer including

Chili, Chili-lime, Lime, Sweet, Natural and Garlic.

Turbana was gracious and sent me out two of their flavors to try and honestly review.

Natural and Sweet.

I first want to apologize to my loyal fans and readers and those who are just finding Fishful Thinking today.  I typically include photos of the products I am privileged to sample and review and many times giveaway.  I didn't get the opportunity to photograph this beautiful hand peeled Plantain Chips...thanks to the assistance of my three VERY HUNGRY young boys. 

So with that said...I think you can guess...Turbana Plantain Chips were a HIT!  The Natural Chips were so simple and crunchy but not hard and beautiful as there natural flavor was allowed to shine through with each bite (even though I didn't get but two to enjoy myself).  I think these would be great with some of my homemade Sandhills Blackeyed Pea Salsa.  The chips seems sturdy enough to hold up to some dipping.

The Sweet Turbana Plantain Chips were not overly sweet but very balanced.  The flavor reminded me of a banana chip.  These would be perfect for a bedtime snack...and healthy. 

I can't wait to try more of the Turbana flavors (as long as I can keep them away for my boys).

Fresh Gourmet Salad Toppings Giveaway and Review 5 Chances to Win!

How many of you have been to your local grocery store and have noticed a large display in the produce isle?  Have you ever really looked at all the options available on that display?  You will be surprised to find that Fresh Gourmet offers a HUGE selection of salad toppings that can be used for that and so much more.

Fresh Gourmet offers such a diverse selection of Premium Croutons, Crunchy Toppings and Fruit & Nut Toppings there is no way your store could carry them all.

I was delighted when Fresh Gourmet sent me a sampling of products from each of their lines.  I now get to share my experiences via my blog and giveaway 2 FREE Coupons to 5 of my bloggy friends (up a  $7.98 total value for each winner)!!!

Where do I even begin...I LOVE the crispy red peppers.  I love to eat them plain.  I love to eat them on salads.  I love to eat them on sandwiches for a nice crunch!  They have a wonderfully, lightly salted flavor.  You can taste the freshness of the red pepper. 

And to go along with my Fresh Gourmet addiction is the Crispy Onions!  These put Fr***h's Onions to shame!  I love the hint of salt.  They are nice and light and have a fabulous crunch.

How did Fresh Gourmet create Premium Croutons?  I don't know the answer to that question...but they did!  Wow...what a difference.  These croutons are nice and crunchy, but not hard like other croutons.  They stand up very well to dressing and absorb the flavor of the salad dressing creating a perfect bite of salad. 

I really enjoyed the seasoning Fresh Gourmet added to their Organic Caesar Premium Croutons.  They are delicious, just plain.  What a compliment to a Caesar Salad.

And who would have thought Focaccia Roasted Garlic Croutons!  These croutons were simple and straight forward with their Garlic flavor.  They were seasoned nicely with just enough garlic.  Perfection!

Tri-colored Tortilla Strips...My boys LOVE the bright colors (red, blue and yellowish).  I love how simple these are to incorporate into soups and even taco pizza.  I like how you can add them, with out having the sharp edges, as you find when you break up your own tortilla strips....plus the vibrant colors.

Fresh Gourmet even thought of Wonton Strips.  So you can add some Asian flair!  I can't wait to try these.

Honey Roasted Sliced Almonds... I enjoy topping a bowl of vanilla ice cream with these tasty nuts.  The added sweetness from the honey is a perfect match of the under tones from the roasting.  Bravo!

Cranberries Dried and Sweet...don't let the name fool you.  Fresh Gourmet doesn't loose the characteristics of a Cranberry.  They still retain some of their natural tartness (which I love and crave).  These are a perfect addition to a spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette.

I sampled two different kinds of Honeyville Premium Hot Cocoa Mixes.

The Premium Hot Cocoa mix and the Premium Marshmallow Hot Cocoa mix.

This mixes are amazingly affordable for such a large can.  Each can comes with its own scoop to help you mix it just right.  The mixes were well balanced and so easy to use...just add hot water.

I enjoyed the mix with hot milk instead in my Froth Au Lait.

 So rich and creamy thanks to Froth Au Lait and Honeyville Cocoa Mixes!
