I was so busy sharing my Frightfully healthy Halloween treat option, I better tell you more about Funley's Delicious.

What can I say?

I am a very proud mother of three boys and many days you can tell by my frantic appearance.  Yes, I will admit that I have "those days" that there is never enough time in the day to get everything done.  And of course on "those days" I always have to head out of the house for numerous errands.

Professor Iris Children's Educational DVD Giveaway / Review $19.95 Value

Here is a little back ground on the Iris videos (there are 3 different Iris Volumes). 

They are geared towards preschoolers and children between the ages of 3 and 7.  Each Iris DVD is created by the award-winning cartoonist and animator Henri Desclez. 

Iris is a Professor who is a bird that wears a cute over sized bow tie.  He teaches from his science classroom.  And boy does he teach!  Iris teaches his students (your child) the science behind everyday things from balloons to teeth to shapes, or bees!

I know these topics and sound beyond what a Preschool can understand but Professor Iris is able to explain these facts to young children.

I loved the convenience of the Gorton's Grilled Salmon Fillets.  They were so easy to prepare in the oven and I love that they only have 100 calories per serving.  The package also said you could cook them in the microwave but I didn't try that.  The salmon cooked up perfectly and had an amazing texture and taste.  I love them and how they help me keep on a healthy track.

Like I mentioned before I also enjoyed some of Gorton's Skillet Crisps.  I am in heaven....they are amazing!  I also used my oven to bake up these fillets and, "OH MY GOODNESS!!!" they baked up so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.  I can't wait to buy more of these!  And of course when I do I am going to print of one of the Gorton's coupons and are available online.  You can to right here.

Big Red's NEW Hot Sauces - Prickly Pear and The Big Yella Review - Gluten Free - Spring Break Gone Wild!!!

It is hard to believe it has been around 1 and a 1/2 years since I was first introduced to Big Red's Hot Sauce.  And let me tell you how time flies when you are living life to the fullest and spiciest. 

So when Big Red's Hot Sauce reached out a while back and asked if I would review their two newest flavors in their spicy line...what is a girl suppose to say?  Well....Hell Yell.  Yes, I said "hell" as that place is very hot! Hot, Hot and Hot!  Which reminds me (or should I say my Hubby's as I was too scared!) of our experience in the past with Big Red's God's Wrath Ghost Pepper Sauce.

So what new Big Red's Hot Sauce flavors did I get to sample???

Prickly Pear (Sneaky Pete's Sweet & Spicy Sauce) and The Big Yella (Tropical Sauce)

Now my fun begins for my taste buds and how to describe these two unique flavorful, spicy and hot sauces.

I think I will begin with the spicier of these two new flavors.  The Big Red's Prickly - Sweet & Spicy Sauce.  So where does the heat and the sweet come from?  The heat is of course from the flaming hot Habanero Pepper and the sweet is the Prickly Pear.

My taste buds were first hit with the spicy heat of the pepper but immediately followed up with a nice sweet heat.  But the flavor didn't end there...the peppers lingered pleasantly in the back of my throat. 

Now on to The Big Yella Sauce......



Spring Break Gone Wild! 

I can't think of any better words to help explain The Big Yella Sauce by Big Red's. 

Spring Break Gone Wild....Juicy Mango and Habanero Peppers create a Tropical paradise in your mouth.  It is sweet and sassy.....It is the perfect dipping sauce with a nice bite.

Busy life, Busy family, Busy job, Busy everything!!!

Why not make at least one or two things in your life easier?  I know if I can find a short cut that actually works I am in heaven, knowing I will have a few extra minutes to get other busy work done.

Many years ago I came up with my own shortcut when it came to home cooking.  I would make HUGE batches of my family's favorite recipes and then portion them out and freeze them.  Can you say a home cooked meal on a hectic day without all the work?  It is fantastic!!!

Two of my favorite, go-to recipes that I always have on hand in the freezer is my homemade meatballs homemade pasta sauce.  I actually make two different size meatballs.  The larger ones are perfect for meatball subs and the smaller meatballs go perfect with pasta and sauce.

Speaking of pasta....one of my biggest pet peeves is always having to snap the long spaghetti noodles before adding them into a pot of boiling water.  Can you say messy?  Or how about little tiny pieces of noodles...everywhere!!!  And then all the extra clean up!  uggg.

But, I am so excited to announce that Anthony's pasta was reading my mind and loves short cuts too!  They have created pot-size pasta....no more breaking noodles!  These are perfect pot size and each box is comparable to a typical size package of long noodles.

Steam Park 3-D Game by Iello Review

It seems at times that all board games are a lot alike.  And sadly many of them are just plain simply board!

But, my thoughts have transformed thanks to a great opportunity to review a new board game...that is like nothing I have tried before.

It is called Steam Park.

Steam Park by Iello Games is so unique and fun.  It is 3-D and has instructions to make the game simpler or more challenging.  

Let me share the concept behind this inventive game and then I will tell you about our family experience.

Steam park is considered a management game and is meant for children/adults ages 10 and above.  As a player you have to build your own coal powered amusement park.  And many times your park grows and grows!  Your goal is to make the largest and most profitable in the area.  

And I must say it was fun to watch as "your own" amusement park grows, especially since each ride in 3-D.

But to add more complexity to this Steam Park, beyond building your park you much manage your employees, invest in advertising and keep the dirt your park produces under control!

So what are you going to do to make your amusement park succeed?  Are you going to build stands to attract more guests?  How about more toilets to keep the dirt under control?  Oh...so many things to think about and consider.

Okay - my personal experience.  This fast paced game is easy to learn but I feel younger players should start with the easy to learn instructions for less experienced games.  That way they can get the hang of it and learn to have a great time playing.

**A big tip!!!!  Make sure to assemble Steam Park and plan on playing it later.  It does take quite some time to get all the parts put together properly.

Look at all that comes with the game that must be assembled.

And you MUST take your time putting all the 3-D items together after popping them out of their templates. 

Even being careful we had a few tear...but were able to repair them with a little tape.  

The art work was amazing!  Marie Cardouat out did herself.

I think I am going to try the Chilli Lime popcorn recipe.  It sounds delicious!!!

1 quart popped popcorn
1 teaspoon brewer’s yeast powder (or nutritional yeast, available in health food stores)
1 teaspoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 300º F.  Spread popcorn on a baking sheet.  Sprinkle yeast powder, lime juice, chili powder and salt over popcorn.  Heat about 7 minutes and toss just before serving.  Serve warm.
