Homemade Confections without all the work!
How does that deal sound (and taste)?
Well, I can tell you from personal experience it tastes amazingly delicious and I loved that I didnt' have to clean up my kitchen (or my fingers...as I just licked the goodness off of them).
What am I talking about while in an excited sugar delirium?
Well I am speaking of Judith Galindo and her amazing business Homemade Confections.
2013 Homemade Confections was featured in Southern Oregon Magazine's Spring Issue "Best Of" issue.
Proud Participant of the 2013 Academy Awards (Homemade Confections English Toffee which is Galindos' signature piece was in the SWAG's for this year's Academy Awards), 2011 MTV Movie Awards, 2011 SAG
Awards, 2010 Tony Awards and 2010 Emmy Awards!
2010 and 2009 Oregon Chocolate Festival Winner!
Okay - on to the sweet goodness and love that Galindo puts into her Homemade Confections. I am thankful she took her typical confection making to the next step as a business owner of Homemade Confections back in 2009.
I knew I was going to be experiencing greatness when I received my carefully packaged treats in the mail.
My eyes were delighted by the elegant packaging of each product. They looks like little gifts just waiting to be untied and opened. The deep colored chocolate brown tied ribbon made me feel like Royalty opening up an exquisite surprise.
Where shall I begin? Ohhhh the Signature English Toffee that is covered in bittersweet chocolate and hand roasted almonds..
or Maybe the Light, Fluffy but crunchy Peanut Brittle?
But, what about the Gourmet Dessert Topping that is packed full of bite size English Toffee, Peanut Brittle, Milk Chocolate covered Macadamia Nuts and semi-sweet covered cashews. English Toffee, Peanut Brittle, milk
We would never serve or sell a product that is not exceptional!!!
I must say my absolute over the top favorite was the Homemade Confections English Toffee. I could taste the love that is used to create each complex and flavorful bite. I was surprised at how dark the toffee was. But, it was a pleasure to enjoy. It was nice and crisp, but not hard on my teeth. The darkness gave it in nice rounded caramelized sugar taste which complimented the bittersweet chocolate and of course the hand roasted almonds. I did my adult treat bag so I didn't have to share with my kids....Does that make me a Bad Mom or just a Smart One? I would have to go with the smart one answer (hee hee hee!).
Now on to the Homemade Confections Peanut Brittle. I must say, FINALLY a Peanut Brittle that is very similar to my homemade brittle which I make ever year with my Mother-in-law's recipe that has been handed down. I love that Galindo doesn't stretch her Peanut Brittle at all. It leaves it nice and light and crunchy. But, easy on the teeth. A sweet peanuty creation that is made with hand roasted peanuts and sweet cream butter. Ummmm!
And last but certainly not least the Gourmet Dessert Topping. Galindo has out done herself with the amazing combination of four different sweet bite size treats. She recommended trying her topping on my favorite vanilla bean ice cream as a dessert topping. I am certain that would have been delicious, but I just enjoyed it straight out of the beautiful bag. It was Divine!
I truly have nothing negative to say about Homemade Confections!
So who would like to win a 1/2 pound bag of one of Homemade Confections offerings?
Is that a yes, I hear?
I
so chose. Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review in return
for the free product and giveaway.
