Let me tell you about our Pre-Oscar Party.  I felt it was a great way to view an Oscar nominated movie and enjoy great food and drinks.  Doesn't that sound like a perfect night?  Well, it was.
 
I decided to have Lincoln be my screening movie of choice for my friends and I.  They were excited to watch and and see what all the hype is....as Lincoln is nominated for Best Picture.  My expectations were high as the director is Steven Spielberg, and I was not disappointed.  I couldn't believe what a phenomenal job Spielberg did recreating such an important President in our American history.  

Lincoln revolves around the 13th amendment to the Constitution that would outlaw slavery in the entire USA.  It was awe inspiring to see how Lincoln used is political powers to obtain allies to aid in his fight.  I can't wait to see if Lincoln wins Best Picture on February 24, 2013.

Now the best part of our party...the food and drinks!!!

I must say I have frequently enjoyed Daily's Cocktails in the past.  Especially in the summer as they are so quick and easy to take along, freeze and enjoy.  Yes, the alcohol is included in each easy to squeeze pouch.  So all you do is freeze the pouch (I like to think of is as an adult juice bag)...squeeze it and get busy drinking.  You would swear that you had just made your own blender drink with out all the mess or expense.

So when I was giving this opportunity, of course I headed to our local Wal-mart and checked out their Daily's Cocktails selections. It was great to see how Daily's Cocktails have expanded their line to include three brand new light flavors.  I think my favorite Daily's Cocktail drink of the night was Pomegranate Acai Margarita.  It was so refreshing and went great with the spicy Wholly Guacamole.  **Make you Daily's Cocktails extra special with beautiful garnish...like the fresh mint I used in my photo above.**

I am such a chips and guac girl..so that is the main way I served my Wholly Guacamole and Wholly Salsas.

Guacamole & Spicy Pico - Can you say YUM???...The heat from the Spicy Pico is balanced by the creaminess of the Guacamole.  Definite Award Winner!!

But...my true, leading man...oh I mean Guacamole is the Spicy Wholly Guacamole.  It knocks my socks off everytime.  I love just to take a big spoonful and enjoy the smooth heat!

Thanks to Wholly Guacamole's serving suggestion for Wholly Salsa - I offered my guests of beautiful Bruschetta.

I was delighted to see what a difference Wholly Salsa makes in recipes.  The All Natural flavors and No Preservatives allows the beauty of each ingredient to shine through.

The Red Pepper Mango Salsa shocked my taste buds.  It was spicy, yet sweet.  Very complex like a great movie that keeps you wanting more.
