I love taking a minute or two out of a busy day to find something quick to make me smile and laugh. Most days I feel like I have that opportunity with my three boys, as they are always up to something…something only little ones can think up and accomplish.
If my boys aren’t around or we are having one of “those days” I have found an excellent, safe place to go online and get a laugh or two or more. And even if my boys are in the same room, this site is Family Friendly. American Family Insurance has worked with five amazingly funny comedians to provide a wide selection of short clips to turn your frown, upside down.
AmFam (American Family’s) Stand Up For Family needs to come with a warning….that you sides may hurt after viewing, your eyes may tear, and you may even hear a snort or two. I love the choice in comedians: Bill Bellamy, Rodney Perry, Mark Viera, Donnell Rawlings and Tony Roberts. So if you don’t like one’s style to can click on to another and see if he is a fit for you and your family’s sense of humor.
It is difficult for me to pick my favorite, but I think it would have to be Donnell Rawlings, “Let Me Ride Your Bike”. The part where he describes a fried bologna sandwich is hilarious! The way he describes how the lunch meat tents up when cooking, is so true.
I will never forget as a child on how my mother would always add tuna fish to scrambled eggs to help fill us up. I know what a strange combination. Well, the first time I tried to make this gourmet meal, it didn’t work out at all. Can you say, “Green Eggs and Ham”? Yes GREEN…Warning…Warning if you add tuna fish to scrambled eggs before they set up, everything will turn green. It still tastes the same if you can get by the color, but I am not sure how you get by Green Eggs and Tuna Fish.
I hadn’t thought of that experience in my years. Thank you American Family Insurance for reminding me of some funny family experiences as a child. And also thank you for providing a stress free place to go and get a laugh (and my children).
