Sweet Pete's Candy and 1 Pound of Sea Salt Caramels $17 Value Review and Giveaway (Gluten Free)

Let me start with the Sea Salt Caramels, that is what one VERY Lucky Bloggy Friend is going to win.  Sweet Pete's caramels have great body and nice mouth feel.  They are not too soft and have just enough chew without being tough.  They are the perfect combination of sweet and sooo creamy with a hint of salt with each and every chew.  And they are Gluten Free!

Sweet Pete's HUGE sized Milk Chocolate Caramel Pecan Cluster.  I was surprised at how BIG this delicious Caramel Pecan Cluster was.  I actually enjoyed it in two different sittings. 

I was pleasantly surprised when I bit into one of the pecans.  They are roasted and lightly salted which adds a whole new dimension to this sweet confection.  What an amazing product that stands out above the rest.  **Gluten Free**

Rocky Road Marshmallow Confection....Homemade Marshmallow....Rich Milk Chocolate....Roasted and Salted Georgia Pecans.....What else do I need to say?  What an amazing and out of this world treat.  The marshmallow was soft but slightly chewy with matched perfectly with the crunchy salted pecans and rich chocolate.  I wish I had another to enjoy right now.  These are also Gluten Free!

Box4Blox Legos Storage and Sorter Product Review and Giveaway $40 Value!

With a house full of little boys, it is fun to watch and see which of their toys become favorites and are played with time and time again.  One of our boys all time favorites are their Legos!  They are in LOVE with their Legos. 

I also love Legos as they allow them to be very creative and use their minds and hands to design masterpieces.  BUT....there is one HUGE thing I could do without......and any parent that has Legos in their house will TOTALLY understand. 

I don't care how hard my boys work at picking up each and every last Lego (even the little, bitty ones)....there is always that ONE, Super Sneaky Lego that lays in wait....waiting to make it presence be known as you walk by bare footed....OUUUUCCCHHHH!

But I have recently had the opportunity to learn more about a fantastic product.

Simplastix Innovations sent us (my boys and I) out their award winning Box4Blox.  Plus they will be giving away one of these life changing Box4Blox to one lucky bloggy friend (Legos NOT included).

 
BOX4BLOX is a simple invention that provides a fast and efficient solution to a problem found in nearly all family homes, messy Lego.  By utilizing an age old process, the BOX4BLOX grades Lego bricks through a series of four trays with different sized grids. As the Lego pieces can be easily found from their respective trays, especially the little hard to find pieces which end up in the bottom tray, it effectively eliminates the need to tip all the Legos out on to the floor.

You would have thought Christmas arrived early at our house when I showed the boys what came in the mail to review!

My oldest couldn't wait to see if the design really worked.  My middle son just wanted to hold something...so the Box4Blox lid sufficed and my youngest, had to be apart of everything.

I wish I could have captured the excitement in the room when the Legos were being poured in.  They were so curious if the Box4Blox was going to work.

Now a gentle shake, shake, shake...yes everyone got a turn and the lid came off.  It took a few wiggles of the fingers in the top tray to help filter the smaller Lego into the lower trays.  It worked very well.  The Best part for me, is the Legos can stay in the trays while they play..so no more Lego surprises on the floor anymore...and one more thing...My boys love picking up their Legos now, they even sometimes fight over who is going to pick them up, because they want to be the one to shake the Box4Blox. 

I think the biggest trick to using the Box4Blox is that is doesn't come with a handle to carry the box.  You have to slide your hands under the bottom box to move it around. 

I liked the size of the Box4Blox - 10 1/4 inch cube and the bright durable trays.

As a proud owner of a Box4Blox I can't imagine having Legos without one!

I have a confession to make...I am a candy-o-holic.  I stash away my sweet love so no one will find it!  I am secretive and find myself enjoying candy confections and treats after my family goes to sleep for the night.  I can't imagine having to share a bite of my sweet love.

One of my biggest addictions is for Caramel Clusters (Turtles).  I love the chocolaty goodness that covers the gooey caramel and typically crunchy pecans.

The Illinois Nut & Candy Company assisted with my addiction recently and sent me the most amazing and beautiful assorted box of their Caramel Clusters...and they are going to send one of my lucky bloggy friends the same box to enjoy.

 My assortment contained Caramel Clusters..some with tradition pecans, others with cashews and yet some with peanuts.

Look at the gooey caramel!!!  I was pleasantly surprised on how different nuts could change the Caramel cluster experience...I think my absolute favorite was the caramel clusters containing cashews.  The natural sweetness from the cashews really helped round out this fine confection. 

I could tell a huge different in the quality of the nuts used to create each and every cluster.  Illinois Nut & Candy Company know how to treat all their ingredients perfectly to help master the challenging art of candy and confection making.  (Guess what I still haven't shared any of these delightful clusters with my family.)

Sof'ella Gluten Free Chocolate Cake Mix Transformed into A Gluten Free Chocolate Lovers Dream Triple Chocolate Cake Recipe / Sof'ella Gourmet Natural Foods Review

Do you enjoy creating Gourmet Foods with out all the added fuss and mess?  Are you or a loved one on a Gluten Free Diet? 

You can create this Chocolate Lover's Dream Triple Chocolate Cake - and it is Gluten Free...I will share my personal recipe below....

But before I move on to this Gourmet Gluten Free Masterpiece and many other delicious Gourmet Foods, I need to ask you all a question.

 

 Have you ever heard of Sof'ella?

If you haven't...you will never forget Sof'ella after reading my post.

Sof'ella Foods is in the business of creating all natural, gourmet and
easy-to-prepare foods. Because they believe that Good Food Matters.

Sof'ella so graciously sent me an amazing selection of some of their finest Gourmet mixes to try out and review.

First of all I want to say, I am in LOVE with Sof'ella mixes.  They truly are a step ahead of the rest!

I am going to talk about three of the mixes I received and my personal experiences with them...along with a recipe I created using Sof'ella's Gluten Free Chocolate Cake Mix.

My family and I truly enjoyed the All Natural, Gluten Free Chocolate Cake mix by Sof'ella.  The mix is so decadent.  But I took this amazing Gluten Free Mix and created a Gluten Free Masterpiece...

 Chocolate Lover's Gluten Free Dream Triple Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

1 box of Sof'ella's Gluten Free Chocolate Cake Mix
1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix (Jello brand is Gluten Free)
1 - 16oz container of Sour Cream (I like Daisy - and it is Gluten Free)
3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup strong coffee
2 Tablespoon vanilla
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (I like Enjoy Life - Gluten Free Chocolate chips)

Directions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees and grease and flour (rice flour) a 10 inch Bundt pan.

In a large bowl combine Sof'ella cake mix, sour cream, eggs, oil, vanilla and coffee.

Beat until ingredients are well blended.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Spoon batter into the prepared bundt pan.

Bake in preheated over for one hour or until the cake springs back.

Cool ten minutes on a wire rack.  The cake will start to pull away from the sides of the pan and fall slightly.  Turn out and cool completely on the rack.

After the cake is cool I love putting a little bit of powdered sugar on top for eye appeal (make sure to look at the ingredients on the powdered sugar bag - some are not gluten free).  I then put a little of the powdered sugar on a plate and a drizzle of gluten free chocolate syrup, before a slice of this super rich, moist, and decadent cake.

Another mix we tried and LOVED was The Bakers Pantry Mixed Berried Pancake and Waffle Mix.  I really appreciate the simple and easy to follow instructions. 

I followed the directions for the Pancake Mix and they turned out perfectly!  They were light and fluffy and tasted like fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries and raspberries)!  We will do these again at our house.

The Sof'ella Red Velvet Cake and Vanilla Bean Frosting Mix was so beautiful!  I loved that they had an alternative recipe on the side panel of the box mix for Whoopie Pies....Of course I made them!  The directions were very easy to follow.

 Look at this amazingly rich red color - I didn't have a Whoopie Pie pan so I used the other idea on the side of the box, a muffin pan.

 Look at the speckles of real vanilla bean in this rich frosting!

And here is the finished product...they were perfect!

I can't wait to see how the other mixes are going to turn out.  I am certain they will be just as perfect all the other three I have tried.

Calabasas Candy Co. Artisan Caramels and Flavored Marshmallows Review

I can't believe I am already saying this, but the Holidays are just around the corner.  And that means I am always on the look out for unique, artisan gifts to share with loved ones. 

I was fortunate enough to find another Artisan Confections Company that puts a spoon full of love and a dash of care into every sweet, delicious and creative treat they make.....

Calabasas is a new Artisan Candy that features traditional favorites like truffles and vanilla caramels...but they also put a "spa like twist" on some of their other confections (which I was sent samples to review and give my honest opinion) like.....

Lavender Marshmallows

I was very concerned about a Lavender Marshmallow.  I was worried it would taste like I was eating perfume.  My worries were quickly put to rest with a small bite to start.  Calabasas bite size Lavender Marshmallows were very fluffy and super soft...they just melt in your mouth.  I am trying to figure out how to describe the lavender accent to these artisan mallows.....They were light and refreshing...AND ADDICTING!

Calabasas also incorporates Lavender into one of their caramels.

The Lavender Caramel was very buttery and beautiful to look at with its deep purple hue.  The caramel also had a fresh piece of lavender on top for a nice added touch.  I found the caramels a little firm...but with a short ride in my jean pocket, it softened right up so I could enjoy the two bite caramel.

Another flavor of caramel I was given the opportunity to sample was the Dark Chocolate Pecan Caramel.

This caramel was slightly softer and enjoyed the crunchy texture of the pecans added into the dedicate dark chocolate caramel. 

I was also able to try Calabasas exclusive Strawberry Caramel.

It was beautiful and buttery.  It was slightly crunchy from the fresh strawberry seeds.  After a ride in my pocket it was soft enough so I could enjoy the fresh fruit flavor. 

I am hoping sometime to get to try Calabasas Truffles as they look heavenly...don't you think?

Thinking back over the years, I think we should own stock in a tea company....We ALWAYS have iced tea available at our home at all times.  Everyone in our house enjoys drinking it.  And I enjoy drinking it and looking for new and exciting flavors to try and share with my family.

Here is my wonderful experiences with the Shangri La Tea Wellness line:

Iced Tea - Raspberry Cooler....
I was excited upon opening the re-seal able bag...and the fruity aroma that greeted me.  It made me want to brew a large filter pack and sit back and enjoy a sip (which I did....ummmmm).  The instructions on the back of the bag were very descriptive and clear, which made it very easy and simple to follow in order to brew and enjoy a perfect cup of beautifully clear Shangri la iced tea.

The Raspberry Cooler was so clean, crisp and delicately flavored with raspberries.  I enjoy the natural hint of flavor, as it wasn't over powering.  The re-seal able bag contained 6 - 1/2oz packets.
It is Sugar Free, Calorie Free and Caffeine Free.

Iced Tea - Wellness Tulsi Plus....
This iced tea had a very earthy, complex aroma.  Ages old wisdom tells of holy tulsi healing the body and soul, high in antioxidants and rich in minerals.  Shangri La added chamomile to soothe stress and rosehips for vitamin C. This naturally sweet, calorie free iced tea is sure to add the wellness factor in everyday living.

Ingredients: Tulsi, Chamomile, Rosehips, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Orange Peel, Licorice, Stevia, Flavorings and Citric Acid Powder.

Organic Chamomile Hot Tea....
