As a parent of three boys (two that are in school), I know how differently they all learn. They each seem to have different strength and weakness when it comes to learning and school. I am always striving to give them the best education and make sure they are doing their best and achieving their goals. It is important to be on the look out for new programs that can give you the skills to help make your child a well rounded student. Even if you feel your child doesn't need any extra attention, as they are already a great student...you can always help to make them achieve even more.
No matter what your child's age it's not to young to make sure your child is developing learning skills.
As a matter of fact the very early years is when the building blocks for higher level learning are formed.
Scientists have actually found that many learning problems that show up later on actually were caused early on.
Simple things such as crawling are actually developing the brain for later skill development.
Lisa Harp has developed a very easy to do at-home system which enhances the building blocks of learning.
The system is most often used by school age children but can actually be used (in part) as young as 3.
The exercises are very simple and kids find them fun.
Although this system was designed to help those with learning problems it is actually recommend it for all children.
Doing the program with a child who does not exhibit problems will only enhance learning ability
and if there are weak spots they'll show up and be fixed.
If the child is having problems in school then this program is essential. It will develop learning skills that no amount of tutoring can fix.
Did you know that if there is a learning problem that tutoring can actually make it worse sometimes?
It happens all the time. That's why this program is essential.
Learning-aids.com was gracious to set with up with their 12 month online video course so I could use it with my boys...it is a $600 value! They are also going to giveaway the same 12 month online video course to one of my lucky bloggy friends!!! Thank you Learning-aids.com for caring out our children and their ability to succeed in school.
The product is an online video course. The course will teach you how to do the simple exercises with a child. Most of the exercises are done on paper. Some with household items. None are done on the computer. The computer based videos simply show you how to do the exercises.
The program is in 12 sections.
Typically each section takes 4-6 weeks but it could go much faster or slower depending on how well your child does. You'll know as the trouble spots are pretty obvious. When you hit them you just spend more time on that exercise until it becomes easy. So that means the program will take somewhere between 12 and 18 months to complete.
At completion the student will most likely be excelling at school even if they were multiple grade levels behind at the start. They see this all the time. Children who were way behind in school and were told they'd never succeed becoming honor roll students.
To get the full benefit the exercises are done a total of 3 hours per week. One hour on the first day of the week and 30 minutes per day the following four days. Of course you can do it at whatever pace you like but that is the recommended amount. At that rate you should see progress in about three months.
The biggest problem I have found with the program is making sure I take the time to check out the lessons, so I can keep up with the program to help my boys. But, they make it easier by sending out excellent emails with great information, to help keep you as a parent on track and motivated.
