I am so excited to move! I really can’t wait to start my new job but more than that I’m so excited to finally move into my first single family home. I’ve owned a condo here in Georgia for a while but you know, I thought it was time to buy a house so that when I got married we’d have enough room and so the dog would have a yard, too. I’ve been looking into electric companies in Dallas to make sure I’ve got all my utilities set up and I’ve been working with the relocation agent to settle all the final details with the house. I’ve always wanted a house that I could put work into and make my own and the little bungalow I found back in June is just going to be perfect. My parents tell me they’re really proud of me and I think I have to say I’m proud of me, too. In this economy when so many of my friends are moving in with their parents and out of work I’m happy that I have a job and a good one at that. I’ve been with the same company for 6 years now and I love it – I really can’t wait to start my new position but I’m worried about how hard it’s going to be to manage other people. My boss tells me I’m a natural born leader, though, and that I won’t have any problems with this role. I hope he’s right! Texas is going to be a big adjustment for me but I’m really excited to get started and to make new friends and maybe even find a girlfriend once I move. Georgia has been good to me but it’s time for something new and fresh and this opportunity was just too good for me to pass up when it landed in my lap. Not too many 28 year olds get this kind of chance and I plan on taking full advantage of every minute of it!

Week 25- on Nutrisystem and I am at a loss for what to post this week, after the events that occurred in PA this week.  I spent a LOT of QUALITY time with my BOYS this weekend.

I wanted to share this beautiful poem I saw on Facebook tonight...  The poem was written by Cameo Smith, Mt. Wolf, PA

twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
they were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house."
when what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
those children all flew into the arms of their King
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
and as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."

I first want to let everyone know I was impressed how everything arrived.  It was perfectly packaged just like a Christmas gift.

I really appreciated the pamphlet book that came with the line of 3 different Relogy products.  It helped explain what Relogy is, how it works and the order and amount to be applied.  I was pleased to learn a little goes a long way when it comes to the Relogy line.  So you get your money's worth.  I learned Relogy is different because it starts with a Dual Action Treatment Foam that penetrates deep into your skin's surface which starts clearing up acne immediately. 

The reason Relogy says it is dual action is because it can be used as a treatment cleanser and rinsed away or it can be used like a topical acne treatment and left on your skin.  I must say when I read about the dual action feature of the Relogy foam, I was very excited.  I LOVE when products can be used in more than one way.  I feel you get more for your money and less products to have on hand.

The second step is Relogy's 100% Natural Skin Balancing Lotion with Coconut Milk.  I read that this balancing lotion is the ultimate side-effect preventer.  It keeps your skin hydrated, nourished and soft.

The last step and only if needed to the Targeted Spot Treatment with Seaweed Extract.  The spot treatment works directly on any blemishes that it is applied to.  This treatment is anti-inflammatory and assists your blemishes to fade and quickly and completely go away. 

I have to say my favorite part of the Relogy Vegan Skincare Treatment is the, oh so smooth skin balancing lotion with coconut milk.  It left my skin feeling like a newborn baby.  It is wonderful and I think my skin now craves it!  All I do is make sure my skin is clean and dry and apply a pea-size amount onto my face.

The Relogy dual action foam had a great refreshing scent which made it pleasant to use.  I do not suffered with terrible acne, but when I did get a blemish or two I was amazed at how quickly it went away after using this great dual action foam.

The Relogy Targeted Spot Treatment with Seaweed Extract is just fun to apply and feels great going on.  The applicator is a cooling roller ball.  Ance doesn't stand a chance with this hard hitting product.

I love that Relogy has created a wonderful and useful line to help rid our skin of blemishes and keep it properly maintained and looking great.  I am so grateful they were able to accomplish this and still be Cruelty free and vegan.  All their products are plant-based with no harsh chemicals.

JOLLY TIME Pop Corn and Habelman Cranberry - Traditional Popcorn Garland

I believe in family holiday traditions.  I feel these traditions are what makes this magical season special and memorable.  One family tradition I had the privilege of participating in growing up was stringing homemade garland.  I can already see the smiles on those of you who know exactly what I am talking about. You know... The Traditional Popcorn and Cranberry garland. 

 And thanks to JOLLY TIME Pop Corn and Habelman Cranberries they have rekindled this family festive event.  I am going to pass this tradition on to my boys this year.  I think they are finally old enough to safely help with the beautiful tree decoration.

**I am going to use rounded embroidery needles for my boys.**  I believe in safety first in all our crafting adventures.   But, I wanted to say I grew up in Iowa enjoying JOLLY TIME Pop Corn all year long. 

 But, it was the only brand my Mom would buy for our garland.  She always said it popped up better.  And now as an adult I must say I totally agree.  And of course JOLLY TIME Pop Corn knows what they are doing with it come to this Corny treat.   The Smith's have been making it for almost 100 years. This year I decided to try a cranberry I had seen at our local Safeway store.  Habelman Cranberry.

I would love to share a few holiday pointers to help make your garland an easier experience. Since I have created yards and yards and yards of it over the years.

Make sure you  have plenty of plain JOLLY TIME Pop Corn on hand and bags of Habelman whole, raw cranberries. You will also need unscented waxed dental floss and embroidery needles. 

First pop up plenty of JOLLY TIME Pop Corn the night before and let it sit uncovered.

Okay now you are ready.  Get your bowl of popcorn and another bowl of cranberries for their debut.  Start by taking a strand of dental floss about a yard in length (much longer and it will be challenging to work with) and thread it through the needle.  Tie a large knot in one of the ends.  Now take a firm cranberry and push it down to the knot.  Now you just alternate the popcorn and cranberries in whatever pattern you have decided on.  Make sure you push each piece all the way to the end of the string, otherwise it could make the string tangle. 

Remember to leave a little room on the end of your string.  As when all the strands are complete, you have to tie them together, so you can string them on your Christmas tree.

Week 24 Nutrisystem - Exhausted and Sleep Deprived and #NSNation

Week 24- on Nutrisystem and I am one exhausted, sleep deprived mother of some sick little boys.

 

It has been a very, very long week....which began last Saturday and is still continuing.  All my little boys at one time or another have been vomiting and just overall sick.  My middle son is still struggling along.

I have had some very long nights, sleeping on the floor..hoping everyone would sleep through the night and not get sick.  I also had some very long days....hours upon hours of resuring little ones that they would get better.

I found my eating totally off schedule and irratic.  I was eating anything and everything that sounds good and comforting...which meant I indulged way too much.  But, I still was able to make time for a workout everyday (still haven't missed one!).  I actually felt very refreshed after each workout for a short time.

I am dreading stepping on the scale this week.  But, I know whatever gains it shows..next week has GOT to be better.  I am sorry I will not be posted a vlogg this week - but next week I will.
