Look at the Frieda's Spooky Foods that I received....
How fun....Black garlic...Buddha's Hand....Kiwano.....and Ghost Chili's.
I was surprised to learn the black garlic is aged naturally under high heat fermentation that turns the garlic cloves a rich dark color with soft chewy texture. I am planning on using them in a pasta salad..I know they will be the talk of the people enjoying.
The Buddha's Hand is very spooky looking!!! But, it smells so fruity, fresh and heavenly. We have had it sitting on our kitchen table...what a great and talked about center piece, plus it adds a nice fragrance to the room. The boys are enjoying looking at the Kiwano (horned melon), so we haven't cut it open yet. I was shocked to find out you can store a Kiwano for up to 6 months. It is suppose to have lime green colored pulp with jelly-like and filled with tender white edible seeds - like a cucumber. Can't wait to give it a taste.
The the VERY SCARY GHOST CHILI PEPPERS....I am just flat out scared of these!!!
So Happy Spooky Halloween Everyone!!!
