GothamBox Food Review / Giveaway. 2 Winners! $40 Total Value! Your favorite city's Most Enticing Food Shipped to you!

What is your Gotham?

Are you all asking yourselves if I have lost my mind?  What kind of question is that?

Well, only each and everyone of you can answer that question....and there is no right or wrong answer.  But it will take answering this question in order to be entered to win your own GothamBox...A $20 Value.

So first of all what do I mean by "What is your Gotham"?  Think through you life....what community, city, or town has inspired you?  Why has it make a huge difference in your life?

These thoughts have helped create a new and generous food business that continually gives back to their Gotham.  I was excited to speak directly with Shawn, one of the founders of such a food based and caring business, in the business to make a positive difference.

I learned Shawn went to school in New York but has since moved to San Fransisco.  So these two cities are Shawn's Gotham!  And he has recently started up the business of his dreams (and any other foodies).  He found a way to share his food passions from New York and San Fransisco to all online.

Thus....GothamBox was created!

GothamBox searches high and low to find the best local brands of these two cities to share with others for the very low cost of $20 a month.  Let me explain you can either subscribe to just New York or San Fransisco and receive an exciting assortment of enticing food shipped directly to your door from that Gotham location....or you can pay $40 to receive a GothamBox for both cities, every month.  And don't worry if you do sign up for this low cost subscription, you can cancel at anytime....No strings attached.

I still can't believe how affordable this fun food experience is....tons of amazing food you may know about or get to experience for the first time, shipped and delivered for only $20!  New experiences every month, just like Christmas all year long.

But along with your $20 subscription...GothamBox will donate a meal to help end hunger in the Gotham city your foodie items have come from....either New York or San Fransisco.  But it is above and beyond that....each month the winning Gotham city will receive double the number of meals donated....right now San Fransisco is in the lead.

Check out the amazing GothamBox from San Francisco I received this month to review.

I truly enjoyed the personal experience that arrived neatly packaged from GothamBox.  Including a personal note, great list of all the products included...
and a little info about that local food business and all the wonderful food!
I must say, when my GothamBox arrived, I wasn't sure what would be inside for $20 total, which includes shipping and handling.  I was delighted and so were my taste buds (plus my boys to see they could enjoy some Peeps before Easter).

My absolute favorite was Coco Tutti (award winning chocolates).  I am sure everyone is so surprised that I would pick chocolate over everything else.
It was so much fun trying the four varieties.  I must say I was surprised by the heat with two of the confections.  They were very spicy, but so smooth and warm.  What a shock to my taste buds!  It was so much fun.  My favorite was the liquid filled caramel.

Yes, there was other items in my GothamBox that were much healthier to enjoy, like the huge bag of Handmade Vegan Cashew, White Peach Granola from NanaJoes.
I was able to taste the difference in this flavorful granola.  I loved how they included a sealed bag of the moist, dried white peaches to keep them fresh in order to enjoy them to the fullest with this fabulously seasoned and nutritious snack or breakfast.  The pieces varied in size from nice a big to small.

The La Palma flour tortillas were delicious.  And The Chai Cart tea was so fresh and out of this world flavorful.  Just what I need after a long day.
GothamBox you are amazing!!!  What a fantastic and affordable foodie find!

Show GothamBox some love on Facebook and Twitter!

I can't wait to see what will be in next month's GothamBox.

Okay, who wants to win a GothamBox of there own to enjoy and see what will be inside your GothamBox once it is delivered?

Two winners will be chosen!  One will be chosen using the Rafflecoptor form below and one will be selected as to the best answer to the mandatory entry question....What is your Gotham and Why? (So make sure your answer is thoughtful...it could be your winning entry!!!)

*Giveaway ends 4/30/12*  Best of Luck and Thank you GothamBox!

Disclaimer: GothamBox provided me with free
sample of their products to review, and I was under no obligation to review it if
I so chose. Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review in return for the free products.

  10. Seattle - totally. I went to grad school there and then stayed for another 6 years and that's where I really found myself. The memories of the small clubs listening to Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots before they were huge and great restaurants, Pike PLace Market and the flying fish. Just thinking about it makes me happy.

My Gotham was Bangkok, Thailand. We spent a vacation there when I was 13 and it made an indeliable impression on me. It was beautiful in many ways, and to this day, I love Thai food, but the thing that made the strongest impression was the poverty. I'd seen poverty at home - I come from the Caribbean not a rich western county - but not like this. At home even the poor have running water and no one seemed to be quite as poor as in Thailand. I know I lived a sheltered life at home but still I don't think we had anything quite as bad. I've never looked at money, poverty, humanity or my life quite the same since then.

  24. San Diego. More specifically, the JFS Hand Up Youth Food Pantry located in San Diego is my Gotham. While my husband was stationed in San Diego, I had the privilege to be a part of something HUGE. A tiny food pantry with a HUGE HEART, run by teens, giving a Hand Up (not a hand out,) to the local community on a weekly basis and to the military community on a monthly basis. I was one piece of a puzzle that helped so many families every day, taught the teens about community service and social awareness, I loved the work, and it just plain made me a better person. I wish that every city/town had my Gotham......

  34. The blog community is my Gotham...specifically the vegan and artist blog communities. I've met so many squealingly amazing and talented people that push the bounds of creativity ever outward and without doubt have inspired me to think out of the box more and more with my own work. I do think cooks belong in the "creative field" too because that is the way they best express their creativity and man, oh man, some of the recipes they invent just spin my spurs with delight! Post Punk Kitchen's blog and forums ( http://www.theppk.com/ )and vegweb.com and Vegnews.com are just some of the happy vegan hubs I love. The artists with whom I interact and email and exchange ideas and artwork have mile-high talent and are spread out in so many cities and countries that there's no way I would ever have met them without our online connection. And artists like Geninne Zlatkis ( http://blogdelanine.blogspot.com/ ) and Cindy at The Slumbering Herd ( http://www.theslumberingherd.com/ ) fill my world with so much spirited color and conversation! I have responsibilities that keep me at home 99% of the time, so I am forever and always grateful for My Gotham in cyberspace!
