Cornerstone Chocolates and Confections Giveaway / Review $45 Value! Great Mother's Day Gift

Am I the only foodie out there, that seems to have a bionic ear for any conversation that revolves around food?

I must confess I over heard some parents at my children's school talking about an amazing vacation they took to Vail, Colorado.  First of all, I heard Colorado and I was so jealous.  We had the opportunity to vacation last fall in Estes Park, Co it is was an amazing and beautiful trip.  We met so many wonderful people with so many different talents.

I just knew this conversation of Vail, Co would some how involve food before it was done.  So I hung nice and close and kept listening....There it was the food tip I was lusting for...

I rushed home and had to google this name that sounds like heaven.  Oh, be still my beating heart it was even better than I expected!!

Cornerstone Chocolates and Confections is Colorado's newest premier maker of chocolates, candies, and other products.  And the best part is if you can't make it to Vail, Colorado they will carefully ship their chocolates to your doorstep.  I am so excited to say my chocolate prayers were answered the day I received one of these carefully packaged boxes of Cornerstone Chocolates and Confections (And One Lucky Person is also going to have their chocolate dreams answered by winning a 15 piece Chef's Choice Custom Collection - $45 Value including shipping - ONLY to the 48 US States....HI and AK not eligible). I could feel and see the love with a dash of pride and a heaping tablespoon of care that went into preparing these gourmet artisan confections and making sure they arrived in perfect condition (thanks to ice packs, air filled tubes and a cooler like box and lid).

There was no doubt in my mind a perfect Mother's Day gift was waiting to be unveiled and savored in the cover of darkness away from my boys and my darling husband.  Did I say cover of darkness.  Well, my wish came true earlier tonight.  Thank heavens I had my photos taken already of these delicate works of art (trust me, they really are...keep reading and looking around to see what I mean) before our power went out for an hour.

One thing I learned...with the lights out my other senses were heightened with brought Cornerstone Chocolates rich aromas, textures and flavors to a whole other level.

Which experience shall I try to capture into words so you all can experience my delight and decadent food journey....

How about the custom 15 piece collection from Cornerstone Chocolates & Confections?  Let the magic begin!

Lavender (Square shaped with a small piece of beautiful lavender on top)
Oh, so smooth and slightly floral, but not over powering.  It melted like butter into my warm mouth.  I enjoyed the dark chocolate that was balanced to shine though, but not mask the delicate lavender.

White Chocolate Almond (White and brown square)
Perfectly smooth and sweet with a natural nuttiness and a hint of salt.  Any white chocolate lover would sell their soul to get another bite.

Be still my beating heart.... Raspberry (swirled red, white and brown heart)
I enjoyed the very thin and crisp shell that covered a smooth chocolaty delight married with fresh raspberry flavor without the seeds.  Excellent with a hot cup of coffee.

Irish Cream (circular ball)
Another smooth experience in robed with dark chocolate.  The center was firm, but melted in my mouth.  The hint of Irish Cream was able to shine, but not cover up the beautiful dark chocolate.

Green Tea (tear shaped)
When I cut this work of art open my eyes were greeted with a fabulous light green, creamy center.  This chocolate was light and refreshing with hint of green tea.  A perfect way to end a meal.

The 8 piece Truffle Collection from Cornerstone Chocolates & Confections continued to be a flavorful food adventure that actually found my palette experiencing new flavor combinations.

Chai
Just as the name states.  The smooth flavor profile was like a gourmet balanced cup of Chai tea.

Hazelnut Crunch
I have never enjoyed a truffle like this before.  The center was so smooth and almost liquefied, hiding a beautiful hazelnut.  The center was full of fresh hazelnut flavor which is slightly bitter, creating a perfect contrast with the crunchy chocolate shell.  What a excellent mouth feel experience.

Caramel Mocha
How did Cornerstone Chocolates & Confections make this truffle work?  The center was smooth and soft, but contained a liquefy caramel sauce.  A coffee lovers dream.  I enjoyed the nice coffee accent.

Anise
Very complex is the only way I can think to describe this flavor combination.  I could taste the black licorice tones which then were heightened by the milk chocolate covering.

It is not too late to place an order for your Mom this Mother's Day.  Make her day special with a little help from Cornerstone Chocolates.  Indulgent and Pampering!!

Enter below for you chance to win a 15 piece Chef's Choice Custom Collection - $45 Value including shipping - ONLY to the 48 US States....HI and AK not eligible.
