Cattle Boyz BBQ Starter Kit Review / Giveaway 3 Seasonings, 2 Sauces in Glass Collector Bottles $36 Value

Cattle Boyz BBQ sauces use only the finest all-natural ingredients to create a sweet, tangy barbeque sauce with a spicy kick.   Their International award winning barbeque sauces are perfect as a marinade, BBQ rub, or barbeque glaze for steaks, beef, pork, ribs, chicken and seafood. Cattle Boyz tastes great on vegetables too and their BBQ sauces does not contain additives. No MSG or Gluten is added. Cattle Boyz satisfied customers say it best: the magical mix of flavor, texture, heat, and versatility will keep you coming back for more of the Best BBQ sauce in the World. – Cattle Boyz.
I was thrilled to find out Cattle Boyz was going to be sending me out their HUGE Starter BBQ Kit to sample, review and giveaway one to a lucky Bloggy Follower!
First of all I was amazed at the size of the 3 seasonings...12 Flavorful ounces. Gourmet, Smokey Southwest and Big Country Garlic.
We used the Big Country Garlic to help create a wonderful easy grilled supper.  Garlic Beer Chicken.
The Cattle Boyz Big County Garlic added the perfect amount of flavor to our bird.  It was not over powering, but you could taste the garlic notes.  I can't wait to try it on homemade garlic bread and popcorn.
The Smokey Southwest Seasoning is "a smokey blend of chipotle, chili peppers and special blend of other spices, has a bit of heat. Really is an all purpose rub or seasoning."
Check out the magic Cattle Boyz Smokey Southwest Seasoning did on a brisket we BBQ on our grill...Our brisket was seasoned/rubbed perfectly and went well with the Mesquite wood we used to smoke it.  I LOVED the slight heat at the seasoning added which was only made every better when we served it with...

Cattle Boyz amazingly Original BBQ Sauce.  I really enjoyed the molasses that is included to make up this unique and leave you wanting more sauce.  The sauce was slightly spicy.  It really perked up our brisket and brought it to another level.  I am just said we didn't have any left overs from this meal.

The Cattle Boyz Sweet Chili Sauce is beautiful!  "Hot and Sweet Sauce with a blend of spices that create a tangy sweet flavor with a spicy kick. Like our Original BBQ sauce, the Sweet Chili Sauce recipe is versatile and can be used for a variety of different reasons. Use it as a BBQ sauce on Chicken, pork, vegetables and seafood, especially well on cedar planked salmon. It’s the perfect compliment for chicken fingers, seafood sticks, french fries etc. Also works well as a condiment, fondue dip, stir fry sauce or glaze. It's also a great alternative to ketchup!"  This was too spicy for me, but my husband has a new love.
Now on this the amazing Giveaway!

New Tree Natural Chocolates Re-invented Review and Giveaway $11.25 Value

Did you know NewTree Chocolate is derived from the word "nutrition"?  NewTree's offers great-quality, natural chocolates with high cocoa percentages and extracts of plants or fruits.

NewTree has been blending Nature with their chocolates since 2001.  They blend exceptional ingredients with premium chocolate....100% mad in Belgium and 100% Natural!

I was amazed to find out how many unique and passionate flavor combinations NewTree has invented.  This is such a passion for NewTree which takes lots of research and blending and tasting (I would die to be part of that team!)  They add nature's beauty like ginger, pink peppercorn, lavender, apricot, thyme, cinnamon just to name a few.

NewTree sent me a amazing assortment of their snack size bars to sample, review and GIVEAWAY to one of my lucky bloggy friends!  My taste buds couldn't believe the flavor contrasts and textures.  It was a journey through nature with every bite.  Let me start with my favorite....Superfruit 65% Cocoa!  The Super fruit combination of Pomegranate and Cranberry in each and every bite was balanced nicely.  I loved the lively fruits that helped cut through dark rich, melt in your mouth chocolate. *Natural Source of Antioxidants*

The Milk Chocolate with Almonds was creamy milk chocolate perfection full of crunchy bits of almonds.  And NewTree added an extra crunch factor by added delicately roasted flax seeds. *Natural Source of Omega-3*

I know you haven't had a Belgian Biscuit like this before...NewTree Belgian Biscuit 65% Cocoa bar.  This bar was a party in my mouth with all the crunchy textures from the Belgian biscuit and roasted flax seeds.  This bar had more "dark" delicious flavors than the Superfruit treat. *Natural Source of Omega-3*

The Flax 65% Cocoa bar is like a Cr**ch Bar on Steroids (in a great way).  It is packed full of lightly toasted flax seeds and crunchy delightful crisped rice.   I will never get tired of this crunchy, dark, smooth confection. *Natural Source of Omega 3*

The Lime Granola 31% Cocoa was not for me.  I did enjoy the after taste hint of the tartness of the lime but that was all.  I am sure others will enjoy this unique combination.  This bar included the taste of lime surrounded by fine Belgian chocolate and crunchy granola clusters.  The chocolate also includes green tea extract a natural source of antioxidants.

So what flavor do you think is going to be is you win??  Enter today for your chance to find out!

One Winner will receive: 5 NewTree Snack Size Chocolate Bars, just like I received, Value $11.25.

Open to US residents only age 18 or over. You must complete the Mandatory Entry to be eligible. This giveaway Ends 08/10/11 at 11:59pm MST.

Jake's BBQ Sauce and Dry Rub Review and Giveaway $14 Value

Jake's Barbecue Sauce and Seasonings mission is to be the world's best provider of pure All Natural Barbecue Sauce, Dry Rub Seasonings and gourmet Marinades.

Mission Accomplished.......

Jake's California based company born in 2001 from three generations of barbecue experts specializing in the production of pure and natural barbecue sauce, dry rubs and marinades. Over the years they have been fortunate to grow their business to well over 600 locations in which Jake's products are sold.

I am so excited that summer is still around, as BBQ is a passion of my husband's and I.  We love trying new BBQ products and techniques.  I love trying to find a BBQ product that is different and unique.  Something that leaves your taste buds wonder in a good way "what just happened".

Jake's provided me with that chance to try something new, something we had never tried before.  Jake's sent me two of their products to sample and review (Tri-Tip, Steak and Rib Rub and Medium Hot BBQ Sauce + one of my lucky blogger friends is going to win 2 bottles of Jake's Dry Rubs.

Jake's Medium Hot BBQ Sauce was so eye appealing.  It is a beautiful deep dark red!  The aroma that met my nose upon opening this jar was a sweet, spicy combination that "screamed" out "Taste Me!"

The heat was not over powering.  It woke up my taste buds without burning them off.  You can taste the love that goes into each and every jar of this homemade barbecue sauce.  I enjoyed the smoky flavor that was married perfectly to Mr. Jalapeno, Mr. Habanero and Miss Ginger.

Jakes' Best Selling Tri-Tip, Steak and Rib Rub Seasoning made Santa Maria Style.  You ask what is Santa Maria Style?  Jake's blend in the basics of Santa Maria style with compliments of tarragon, smoked hickory salt and more.

I learned so much about Rubs thanks to Jake's.  Did you know Jake's dry rub will permeate and tenderize your meats in under an hour leaving you with nothing but all natural dry rub flavor!  Most other rubs take at least 3 to 5 hours to do the same job.   The rub is beautiful to look at.  I was surprised to see all the different seasoning used and I was able to physically see each and every one.

Now to share my way I tried out Jake's BBQ Medium Hot Sauce (this is one of my favorite simple burger recipes.).  Take 2 pounds of your favorite grilling hamburger and add 1/2 cup to 3/4 of a cup of Jake's BBQ Medium Hot Sauce,  and 1 package of dry ranch mix.  Mix until well incorporated.  Patty the burgers out and get busy grilling up perfection.  As a condiment I combine 1/2 ranch dressing and 1/2 Jake's BBQ Medium Hot Sauce (Trust me on this one!).  Jake's made my ordinary burger, extraordinary!  The heat it added was awesome!
Jake's Barbecue Sauce and Seasonings Motto is "Give so others may live." They want to inspire their customers to contribute to worthwhile organizations that seek to support the needy. And even though our customers may not contribute directly to Stand Up To Cancer, The Children's Leukemia Research Association, The UNCF, The American Heart Association, or The American Diabetes Foundation, we select a deserving organization from this list and provide 5% of our quarterly profits in the form of contributions.

Thank you Jake's as a Cervical Cancer Survivor, you are making a difference one bottle or shaker at a time!

Jaafer Sweets Baklava Pastries Review and Giveaway $27 Value

Years ago when I was traveling across the diverse United States of America, I had the privilege to stopping by a wonderful bakery on the north side of the Chicago land area.  In the Albany Plaza Shopping Center on Kedzie and Lawrence to be exact.

Jaafer Sweets
I enjoyed the most mind blowing Baklava.  It was a work of art and a aphrodisiac to my taste buds.  It was a delicate treat I have never been able to forget.
I have tried to re-create Jaafer Sweets Baklava without success (Don't get me wrong mine is really good, but it's not Jaafer Sweets).  I can't image the labor of love they go through daily to create these fine Middle Eastern pastries.

Jaafer Sweets have a deep love for their craft. When they create their pastries they bring to life an art that is more than a thousand of years old far from the Middle East to the consumer.

You can tell by the flavor and textures that only the finest and freshest ingredients are used to create these perfect sweet goods.

Everything is baked fresh from scratch for your pleasure. And they are one of the first to introduce variety of sugar free sweets in the Middle Eastern category.

Jaafer sweets are perfect for all occasions.  Even if you don't live in the Chicago land area..you can still have your Jaafer Sweets...thanks to online ordering

Jaafer Sweets was kind and provided a small assorted gift tray for only the cost of shipping so I could get my Baklava fix.  And every last bite was perfection.

Now here is your chance to win.....

The winner will receive a medium assorted gift tray of Baklava from Jaafer Sweets!  $27 Value.

Open to US residents only age 18 or over. You must complete the Mandatory Entry to be eligible. This giveaway Ends 08/07/2011 at 11:59pm MST.

Good Luck Everyone!

Julian Bakery Bread Review and Giveaway of 6 Loaves of Bread $40 Value

Julian Bakery's Mission: "to bring healthy and delicious breads to everyone".

Believe it or not the owner of the Julian Bakery is a nutritionist.  She has designed Julian's Bakery breads to have all the amino acids (proteins that are essential for life) in every slice. They grind their organic grains in a stone mill before baking, preventing rancid flour, while achieving more flavor and more nutrition. Just like the same concept as fresh ground coffee. All of their main grains are organically grown, free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. It is safe for children. All of  their sourdough yeast free breads are cultured (the same concept as yogurt). They are easier to digest, contribute to the friendly flora of our intestines, and are a low stress food (providing predigested released nutrients from the culturing process).

I think most of us don't really consider the importance bread plays in our daily lives.  How many slices did you have today, all week, all month?  Julian Bakery is helping make bread an extremely healthy experience without losing the enjoyment, variety and flavor.

Julian Bakery sent me three of their nutritious breads to review and are offered one of my lucky bloggy friends 6 loaves of their own!!

I first sampled Julian Bakery Amazing Sourdough bread. It is low calorie and low carb, making it ideal for any diet! This amazing 60 calorie per slice bread has only 4 net carbs per slice combined with 5g of protein.

This bread was the most beautiful tan color.  Each slice was big and the top was covered in seeds.  I enjoyed toasting the Amazing Sourdough, it really brought out the flavor and made the seeds on top really pop with nuttiness.   The bread itself was moist and had a lot of texture.  It was very filling.

Smart Carb #1

It was Rated #1 the Best Low Carb Bread of 2011 / Recommended By Devin Alexander Who makes meals for the “Biggest Loser”.

If you’re on a low carb diet, looking to maintain your weight or lose extra weight, then this bread is ideal for you. Smart Carb #1 Bread only has 1 Net Carb per slice!

This very good for you bread had a very hearty texture and was not dry.  Each slice was nice sized and still filling, without all those carbs.

Smart Carb #2 (Cinnamon Raisin)

This Smart Carb bread is like a dessert!  The raisins were nice and moist.  The cinnamon flavor was perfect and could even be smelled through the bag.  What a healhty treat.

BlenderBottle, Insulated Sling and Recipe Book Review / and 2 Winners Giveaway $30 Value each!

Okay, I am sure most everyone has seen people walking around everywhere (especially at the gym) using those plastic bottles that have a wire ball in the bottom.  You see people shaking them around to mix up whatever they are drinking.  If you are anything like me, I always assume they are mixing up a bland, foul tasting protein beverage.

My thoughts have now totally changed after finding BlenderBottle

Talk about thinking outside the box.  A BlenderBottle can be used to create
Nutrition Drinks,
Salad Dressings,
Pancake Batter,
Yogurt Smoothies,
Lump-Free Gravy,
French Toast Batter,
Scrambled Eggs,
Tempura Batter,
Sauces and Marinades,
Pudding,

Omelets & Egg Dishes,
Water Bottle,
Dry Ingredients (cinnamon or colored sugar, etc.),
Food Storage (nuts, syrup, etc.)

***BlenderBottle was gracious to send me a 28oz BlenderBottle, 101 Quick and Easy BlenderBottle Recipes Book and a Insulated Sling to review.**

BlenderBottle has even created a 101 Quick and Easy BlenderBottle Recipes book, so you can get creative in your BlenderBottle. The book is set up nicely and it is easy to use, with this inclusive Table of Contents.  It has recipes to create Appetizers/Side Dishes/Beverages/Breakfast/Main Dishes/Salads/Dressings/Marinades and Sauces/Desserts and Miscellaneous.  The book contains 106 pages.  The BlenderBottle Recipes book has inspired me to get creative in the kitchen.

I love the recipe for Iced Cocoa/Coffee.  It was very simple to make (only 4 ingredients).  And BlenderBottle solved a problem for me enjoying this deliciously simple chilled drink on the go with the heat wave that is going on.

They have created an ingenious addition to their line of products.  It is called an Insulated Sling "No More Naked Bottles!"  It is made of durable Neoprene, and designed to fit a BlenderBottle mixer perfectly and keep drinks cooler longer.   It easily clips to your backpack, gym bag, purse and eliminates the bottle sweat problem.

I was amazed at how many different designs of Slings BlenderBottle has to offer.  There are styles to fit any one's tastes...camo, strips, dots, plain....

My first thought was if Enjoy Life products were missing out on so many ingredients, How could they even taste good?

Enjoy Life sent me out two of their newest Chocolate products to review and I am now a believer...Enjoy Life can work miracles...they made everything taste great and without all those ingredients.

They sent me out their newest addition in a HUGE line of products called Double Chocolate Crunch.  It is Nut and Gluten Free Granola.  This granola was loaded with semi-sweet mini chips.  I had a great balance and was not overly sweet.  There was a great crunch with every bite, but it was not hard on my teeth.  The granola pieces were smaller chunks
I enjoyed an afternoon snack, by adding some milk to my Double Chocolate Crunch granola.  It was the best and stayed nice and crunchy after going for a swim.

Look at how Chocolaty this granola really is!!!  It turned my milk into chocolate milk.  Notice I tried to eat every last little, tiny bite.
I am such a baker and chocolate lover.  Enjoy Life has created an amazing chocolate creation....Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mega Chunks!  Who could ask for anything else.  The options are limitless on what you could great with this perfect Premium quality chocolate.  You could use them in baking, cooking, or just straight out of the bag.  I have no idea how Enjoy Life created something so chocolaty without Dairy or Soy!

Bone Suckin' Thicker Style BBQ Sauce, Yaki, and Beef Jerky Review

Well, the banner says it all, but I am going to tell you more.

First of all, did you know Bone Suckin' makes more then just BBQ sauces.  Boy do they!  Bone Suckin' creates a wide selection of products including, Yaki, Salsas, Mustard, Hot Sauce, Seasoning & Rubs and even Beef Jerky.

They were kind enough to send me out three of their handcrafted products to review.

I want to start by saying, my darling husband can get stuck in a rut when it comes to trying new things.  If he has had a negative experience with one product flavor, no matter what brand it is, he doesn't want to try it ever again.

Thanks to Bone Suckin' Yaki....he will never say he doesn't like Teriyaki Sauce again.  Prior to sampling Yaki, I normally felt most Teriyaki sauces are overly sweet and not one of my top picks of sauces.  Yaki totally broke out of this mold!!!  Yaki is out of this world GOOD!  It is not too sweet and has a nice balance with the complex flavors of Italian Balsamic Vinegar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  I even caught a hint of one of my favorite spices, garlic.

A "perfect blend of Organic and All Natural Ingredients".

We used the Yaki on grilled pork chops.  It was amazing!  The Yaki caramelized on the chops and our boys enjoyed using what little was left in the bottle as a dipping sauce for the chops.  Everyone wanted to know when we were going to get more Yaki.

Along with our delicious Yaki pork chops, we prepared half of them with Bone Suckin' Thicker Style BBQ Sauce.  As you can see by the chops on the lower section of the picture.

I loved the thicker texture of this sauce.  It made it very easy to control the pour, plus the mason jar design of the bottle was very helpful.

Bone Suckin' Sauce is tomato based and slightly sweet.  I loved that I could see the spices throughout the sauce, especially the onion.  The flavor profile was nice and mild, with made it a family hit for my young boys.  There is a reason why they call this "Bone Suckin'."  Trust me you will not want to miss a drop, anywhere.

Bone Suckin' also sent me out a package of their Bone Suckin' Beef Jerky.  The jerky is handmade by the Cow Creek Band of Indians in Oregon .  It is an all natural jerky flavored with natural hardwood smoke that has no nitrites or preservatives.  I was surprised how many piece came in the package.  The flavor and texture reminds me of old fashioned jerky.  It is very lean and firm.  I loved the mixes of spices used, but had a hard time tearing a bite off.  Maybe it is just my old teeth.

I will leave you with the history of Bone Suckin' and don't forget you can follow Bone Suckin on Facebook or Twitter.

"Phil Ford, a real estate appraiser and father of four in Raleigh, North Carolina, developed his sauce around 1987 while trying to copy his mother's recipe for a western North Carolina-style barbecue sauce. The resulting all natural, fat-free, fragrant blend includes: tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, honey, molasses, mustard, horseradish, lemon juice, onions, garlic, peppers, natural hickory smoke, natural spices and salt."

"Folks kept telling him that he needed to do something with the sauce - like bottle it and sell it! People loved it when he gave it away, but Phil never thought anyone would pay for his sauce. His sister-in-law, Sandi Ford, owner of Ford's Fancy Fruits & Gourmet Foods in Raleigh, had years of experience in the gourmet food business and had other thoughts, She encouraged him to no avail. Then finally in September 1992, Sandi and her husband, Lynn, told Phil they'd like to be his partners in bringing his sauce to market. He'd make it and they'd give it a name and sell it. While driving to Charleston, South Carolina a short time later, Sandi was preoccupied with the task of coming up with a name. She thought about how go-o-o-d it was and how it made her do something she'd never done before -- suck on the bones to get the last little bit of flavor. A name was born and the sauce was launched in November, 1992." article by L. Harrell
